As with any security item, you must always check with your insurance company to see how things affect your policy.

We don't sell any Key Safe that is officially insurance approved but we do have the GE C500 Police Approved KeySafe which is currently the highest security rated key safe on our website.

It is possible to fit this key safe to a wooden surface using the fixing kit supplied.

This unit will not hold a mortice key as the internal length is 50mm. I would consider the Yale Y500 Key Safe which can accommodate most types of keys.

A pack of fixing screws and instructions are included with the key safe, to enable you to fix to the wall.

The key safe would need to be installed using the fixing kit and following the instructions which are both provided. However it may help to know that we can also provide a professional installation service. Please do not hesitate to call our sales office for any further information.

Providing the key safe is open you can change the code. If you wanted to, you could change it every time you opened it.

The pre-set code is 0,0,0,0. There is a re-set lever which you need to push up, change the dials to the code of your choice and then return the lever back to its original position. For more details please view the User Guide.

For a secure fit, make sure to install against a flat brick or concrete surface.

The code on this key safe can only be changed from the inside of the unit. Once the pre-set factory code has been changed to your own personal code, only this code would then allow access, as there are no override codes for this product.
