Is it possible to set one camera to record continuously and the others to record on motion detection?

Each individual camera can be customised to either record continuously or on motion detection.

What can the audio output be used for? Also
What is the largest external hard drive I can connect to the DVR and what specifications would it have to meet?

Audio Output is for connecting to a stereo or amplifier. This is not required when using the HDMI port.you can connect up to 8TB (2x 4TB) or so on. You need to use a Surveillance grade HDD which can be purchased from Swann Direct.

Additional cables can be purchased separately from ourselves in the lengths of, Swann 15m White CCTV BNC Camera Cable, Swann 30m White CCTV BNC Camera Cable and Swann 60m White CCTV BNC Camera Cable.

Are the recordings time and date stamped for evidential purposes?

All of the cameras are hard wired to the DVR.
At home, the only site for a camera to look down the drive is the garage which is 10 metres from the bungalow. Do you have any wireless cameras to connect to your system?

Unfortunately this unit is not compatible with wireless cameras and each camera must be hard wired. You may be interested to see the Arlo Pro Wireless CCTV Kits.

Can you connect the DVR to your router wireless or do you have to hard wire in?

The DVR needs to be connected to your router using the Ethernet cable supplied in the kit.

These systems will record day and night and can be set to record constantly or on a motion detection setting.
