How long do the batteries last - how many entry/exits can we expect? We've had something similar to this in the past and we had to change the batteries every 2 days

Can I add and delete users as necessary on the app?

Does this lock require security pass on both sides? I have one door that links two separate parts of a building (that isn’t a fire escape). I would like people to have to enter a code / swipe card etc, when going in either direction.

The security pass is only for the external side, internally you can open the door with the handle at any time.

Will this work with a push handle fire exit lock?

Can the handle be left fitting and does the key pad light up.

This is suitable for both Left and Right hung doors. The keypad back light can be set up to work constantly or on a timed schedule.

I would be using it as a second lock in a door with a handle. Can the outside handle of this be removed?

Does the lock work on an external uPVC door with a lift lock?

This lock would not be compatible with UPVC doors with lift to lock handles. You would need to look at the Yale Conexis L1 Smart Door Lock - Chrome.

Can the smart lock be fitted to an existing lock? Can the handles be simply switched over?

This smart lock works in conjunction with a 60mm mortice latch. If the door has a latch of this size then it could work with the existing latch on the door.

Can this be used on a garden gate? So both side of the lock are to be used outdoors?

Could the lock be used in conjunction with our current buzzer entry system where by pressing a button in the individual flats we can allow access to someone at the ground floor communal entrance.

Unfortunately this lock would not work with a buzzer system and is designed to work on its own.
