Product does what it says on the packet

Replacing the original Chubb double-locking nightlatch on our wooden front door was simple and straightforward. The instructions were clear, and the dimensions compared to the original were virtually identical.

Operation both of the latch and the key is easy, especially for arthritic hands, and it is an attractive door fitting.

My only gripe is that the large screws supplied with the nightlatch were sharply pointed, and about a millimetre or two longer than the original ones.

And the result? One of them shattered the inner sheet of glass of the double-glazed panel, which now needs to be replaced. That is, whenever lockdown ends and I can get a repair man in!
