Union C-Series 3G110 - 5 Detainer Deadlock (73mm, Polished Brass)

I thought the lock was a great buy, its of such good quality, no worries about any one breaking in to the door now, it when onto a local shop in my area and when the shop keeper saw how good it was he then asked me to change the other lock to the shop as well, so I went back to safe co and got another one, same price and same good quality. Cant fault the service from Safe co. I ordered it in the evening and it was there the next day.

This was to replace an existing lock 30+ years old and it was almost exactly the same dimensions. Just a little adjustment and it fitted perfectly.

A bit stiff to start with but will improve with use I am sure.

I bought this Union 3G110 lock as a like for like replacement for an older Chubb 3G110 lock. That is the only good reason to buy this unusually large (and possibly not insurance approved) mortice lock. It is in fact slightly thicker than the lock it replaced, so a bit of chisel work was required to fit it. Now that it is in place, it works smoothly and I'm sure that it will last longer than the door. It is an obviously heavy-duty lock and I don't doubt it is as strong as any type suitable for use in wooden doors at home.

Good quality. Was a direct replacement so fitted perfectly.
