I bought this for a holiday let property managed remotely. I wanted to be able to provide tradesmen and guests access without using a keysafe.

Fitting:

The local locksmith verified ahead of the purchase that it would fit and managed to fit it in place of a previous lock. Took him longer than expected but the result was good.

Quality:

Its a nice product in terms of look and overall feel. I have used the RFID fobs and keycode, both work well and give a premium feel.

Technology:

The remote access over the internet isnt available yet, but to be fair that is just "because you can" rather than need to. The app allows you to generate a 10 digit access code remotely without connected access. The code can be one time use, time limited or permanent.

Only been used for around 6 weeks but so far very good.

The igloohome Smart Mortice Lockset 2 is a high quality keyless digital door lock that you can control with your smartphone and makes keys a thing of the past. With the convenience of keyless and multiple entry modes, the Mortice Lockset puts you in control of your home security, providing the ultimate peace of mind. Access your property in a variety of ways to suit your lifestyle and send time sensitive pin codes and Bluetooth keys to family and friends.

The Smart Mortice Lockset is powered by 4x AA batteries which provides up to 1 years power supply. The lock is supplied with 5 physical keys so that you can override the lock in case of power failure. It is also possible to connect a 9v battery to the front keypad, which will power the lock in case of an emergency.

Lock Control by Smartphone
igloohomes' Smart Lock App allows you to open the door via Bluetooth when in range and allows you to send PIN codes to friends and family remotely for as long as you choose. The App also provides an audit so that you can keep track of who comes and goes.



Smartphone App


Access via PIN code
The mobile app allows you to create permanent PIN codes that provide access any time. You can also create one time PIN codes to provide one off access or you can set a duration PIN which allows access for a specific time period.

Bluetooth Keys
Create and unlimited amount of Bluetooth keys that you can share with family and visitors. Provide access to your property remotely from wherever you are in the world. Users must have the app downloaded on their smartphone and be with in Bluetooth proximity to activate the lock.

PIN Code

Programme an 8 digit PIN code of your choice and send pin codes to familiy and friends.

Key

Override Key

Open with a physical key and override the digital keypad.

Card

Key Card

Swipe a key card over the lock reader to open the lock.


Lock Privacy
The lock includes a privacy mode which deactivates the locks keypad to deny access externally via PIN code when you need to. The lock also include a decoy code feature which allows you to enter additional random digits to the beginning of your code if you have somebody watching over your shoulder.

Sync with Airbnb
If you are an Airbnb host, you can synchronise your listing calendars with your igloohome account so that PIN codes are automatically created for guests.

    What is the difference between the Mortice 2 and Mortice 2+?

    Both locks look very similar in appearance but the Mortice 2+ includes a biometric fingerprint scanner. You can programme up to 100 thumbprints. The Mortice 2+ also has the capacity to register up to 100 key cards and tags. The Mortice 2 can only accept up to 56 key cards or tags.
