Lockey 2200 Keypad Surface Lock

It's a well built product made in Japan with high quality Japanese steel. Comes with all accessories and it's easy to set up and install. I needed longer screws for my gate as it's a custom made one and the distributor sent them in the post straight away FOC. Excellent customer experience.

I found the product to be exactly what I required. I have fitted it on the outside door of our rifle club, we don't use it as our main lock but once we are inside operating, the digital lock is engaged, this is to stop any casual entry by people who aren't members.

The only difficulty that we have experienced is that now the evenings are dark we are going to have to fit a light over the door so that members are able to input the correct code, which is very easy to do. We have taken this step of purchasing and fitting the lock on the advice of our local police.

We purchased this combination lock to secure a garden entrance door.

The features that attracted us to this design was the fact that the gate was accessible from outside via keypad whereas the previous combination slide bolt wasn’t.

Items like this are only secure to a certain point because at the end of the day if someone really wanted access they would but it’s still an obstacle to back up visible cctv and our alarm system.

The item is nicely made and looks decently protected from the elements. The bolt aperture on the frame has just enough room to accommodate gate movements and shrinkage when the weather changes so shouldn’t cause problems from that respect.

The kit comes with everything required to fit the lock to many different door requirements including packing pieces to ensure trouble free fitting and different bolt apertures for surface or frame fitting and door thickness so should suit nearly every requirement.

In summary not the cheapest lock of its type available but you get what you pay for and this lock also has the benefit of back up from a local British company and supplier so if anything did go wrong I feel a lot more confident that spare parts will be available and won’t have to bin it and buy another.

Very happy with this lock which I’ve fixed to our garden gate. Works well and was relatively easy to fit using the template provided to drill the holes. Bit fiddly getting the screws to meet up but not too bad. Really impressed with the quality of its build and how it looks against our black gate.

It was installed for me on new gates. Absolutely love the convenience of knowing the gates are locked but can access from street side. Just been installed a few weeks, easy to use. Little spray of WD40 helped in the cold snap we've just had.

Very pleased with fitted lock & looks robust. Can't vouch for durability until it's had rigours a few winters. Setting a code seemed complicated in instructions but logical & actually straightforward.

First product failed.
