We bought 2 locks to try them out on our short-term-rental/Airbnb properties. They work perfectly. The properties are very close together so we also bought a bridge which connects to both locks and allows us to create/activate door codes and open the doors, remotely.

The locks were a little fiddly to install but, once in place, they are super simple to use. The app is also very straight forward and allows multiple individuals to share one account, which is very handy when you are sharing the responsibility of managing codes for Airbnb guests.

The remote functionality, that the bridge has allowed has been a game changer for us, and allowed us to confidently facilitate self-check-in/out. The locks will have been more than paid for, in time savings, over a couple of months.

The igloohome Smart Airbnb Rim Lock (Wooden Doors) is specifically designed to be installed on to a wooden door and puts you in control of your home security, providing the ultimate peace of mind. Access your property in a variety of ways to suit your lifestyle and send time sensitive pin codes and Bluetooth keys to family and friends.

The Rim Lock is powered by 4x AA batteries which provides up to 1 year's power supply. It is also possible to connect a 9v battery to the front keypad, which will power the lock in case of an emergency.

Lock Control by Smartphone

igloohomes' Smart Lock App* allows you to open the Retrofit Lock via Bluetooth when in range and allows you to send access to friends and family remotely for as long as you choose. The App also provides an audit so that you can keep track of who comes and goes.

*Requirements: Compatible with Apple iOS and Android smartphones. Please check Smart Device App for compatibility. We recommend downloading the app before purchase to check compatibility.

Access via PIN code

The mobile app allows you to create permanent PIN codes that provide access any time. You can also create one time PIN codes to provide one off access or you can set a duration PIN which allows access for a specific time period.

Bluetooth Keys

Create and unlimited amount of Bluetooth keys that you can share with family and visitors. Provide access to your property remotely from wherever you are in the world. Users must have the app downloaded on their smartphone and be with in Bluetooth proximity to activate the lock.

Lock Privacy

The lock includes a privacy mode which deactivates the locks keypad to deny access externally via PIN code when you need to. The lock also include a decoy code feature which allows you to enter additional random digits to the beginning of your code if you have somebody watching over your shoulder.

Sync with Airbnb

If you are an Airbnb host, you can synchronise your listing calendars with your igloohome account so that access is automatically created for guests.
