Excellent product - the nickel finish version goes well with white doors. Fitting was straight forward. I liked it so much I bought a second one. I have always worried about making my house so secure that if I lost a key I would not be able to get in myself! But with one of these front and back the house is secure and I can always get in myself.

The basic price probably represents value for money but is a little expensive in combination with a Yale lock if fitting for the first time. A good idea would be to offer a Yale carcass in addition for a reasonable price.

I wanted an all singing, all dancing, latest technology door lock and this fits the bill perfectly. It looks good, it is very easy to use, be it with the tabs or even the using it manually. The Yale keyless connected smart lock is easy to fit and gives me the security that I was looking for. I am waiting to connect it to my home blue tooth control centre and once this is complete, I will be able to open the door via my phone from any where in the world! Good job :)

    Could this be applied to an external gate if you placed the battery housing in a Weatherproof Enclosure?

    This would work perfectly on a gate if the battery compartment is protected as that part is not weatherproof.

    Can you open and lock the door from your app from another room? Or is your phone just able to be used as a key? Also, what module do you need to add to this (There is about 3 diff coloured Z Modules) lock so you can link it to the smart hub and have full iPhone connectivity.

    You can open the door remotely via the APP, however you would need a hub. If you own the Yale SR-Smart Alarm you would need the Yale Smart Lock Connected Module. If you own a third party hub such as the Samsung SmartThings the Yale Smart Lock Z-Wave Module (2nd Generation) would be the best option.

    Can this lock be used on a external PVC door?

    The Yale Keyless lock series are not suitable to fit on to a PVC door, because they usually incorporate a multipoint locking system. The Yale Conexis L1 Smart Lock would be a more suitable option.

    Can I change the PIN code remotely Eg via an app if I am not at the house where the lock has been installed.

    Can this be used in conjunction with Yale PBS2 so it conforms to BS3621:2007?

    The Yale PBS2 - Auto Deadlocking Nightlatch (40mm) will lose its BS3621 rating if it is used with the Yale Keyless locks. One stipulation for Insurance Approved Nightlatches is that it must have a 6 pin cylinder key lock.

    What's the range on the tags, fobs etc for this lock? Will it unlock if the fobs are in my pocket or do I have to get them out and tap them on the lock?

    The keytags need to be touched on or swiped over the keypad of this lock to register. The push button keyfobs have a 10 meter range.

    I am very interested in one of these locks. I have a concern about being locked out of my house! I notice that you have answered one of my concerns in a previous enquiry (being able to open should the batteries fail). My query is more serious really. What if there is a total failure of the electronics? Am I locked out? Will I have to resort to a hammer and chisel? Thanks

    In the unlikely event of complete failure to the the electronics, there is no mechanical override so you would need to find another way into the building. For complete piece of mind, you may prefer to look at Digital Door Locks that have a Key Override.

    Hi there, is there a limit to how many wireless fobs can be used? We have over 30 staff that would be provided with one?

    The limit is 20 fobs that can be used on the Yale Keyless Connected Smart Lock. Yo may want to look at Codelocks CL4510 Smart Lock (Stainless Steel) , which can have 150 key cards registered.
