I have had one of these locks on my front door for over 20 years. So when it failed I naturally replaced it with a new one.The new lock had been improved and changed slightly so it required fitting rather than a simple replacement.

These locks look good on the door, giving a air of security to the house. They are brilliant for a family house, as you do not require a lot of keys which can be lost or mislaid. They are also good for a rental property because you do not need sets of keys for the tenant, letting agent and yourselve. You can change the combination when a tenant leaves.

I spent hours trying to repair the previous version of this product which was over 20 years old!; having given up, I found it was available on the internet to my surprise and reluctantly ordered a new one, which I thought was very expensive! When it arrived, I fitted it in 10 minutes and it worked beautifully. The instructions were quite clear and the build quality was exactly the same as its predecessor. It has worked ever since, and is a marvel of Japanese engineering.It is simple to operate and the code can be changed by following the instructions (which must be kept!)
