Asec Vital BS 5 Lever Deadlock (75mm, Polished Brass)

A quick and efficient delivery baring in mind I bought 3 locks keyed to pass.Alternative lock keeps provided, escutcheons and all the right fixings provided.

I needed a couple of locks for a new Back gate that I was constructing. There were dozens of companies selling hundreds of locks of all shapes and sizes and I ended up choosing the Vital BS 5 Lever Deadlock in Stainless steel from ‘Safe’. I have not been disappointed. ‘Safe’ made the locks ‘keyed alike’ which means I don’t have to carry 2 keys. The lock arrived promptly and immediately I could see they were good quality. Fitting was easy. The locks operate nice and smooth and really enhance the look of the gate when it is open.

Too early to comment on its life span but the stainless steel should protect from corrosion.

I wanted a big strong gate with a lock to match and this lock certainly matched or exceeded expectations.

Next time I need a lock I won’t hesitate to return and order from ‘safe’ again.

I fitted it on the gates to the property. I wanted a safe that was robust and reliable and relatively easy to fit. The BS 5 Lever deadlock does the job nicely and makes it possible to lock the gates from both sides. I considered a digital and combination key solution to my security issue, however I am glad I opted for a straightforward mechanical solution.

Very good value for money. Excellent fitting instruction and quality feel to the lock. Finish to the keep is first class and looks unbreakable. Fitted into an oak door the keep and the lock plate are a perfect fit aesthetically unassuming class. Mechanical movement of lock is reassuringly soild but smooth.
