Yale Platinum 3 Star - Euro Thumbturn Cylinder 35 - 35 (70mm Polished Brass)

I'm no professional, so take my comments with a pinch of salt.

I replaced the lock on my own. This cylinder comes with 2 round notches (i assume is a security feature), that did not fit into my current door locking system. In the end, i had to carefully file down the notches for a nice snug fit. Its done the job. It feels a lot more sturdy and good quality compared to my generic cylinder.

It was a good, strong construction and looked good when installed.

I needed extra keys and was a bit surprised at the cost.I find the lock very easy to operate from the inside. However, the key is a bit fiddly to use on the outside. The key does not seem to go into the lock easily either way up. However, these are early days, I am sure I will find it easier as time goes on. Overall, I am more than happy with the product - it looks very smart and it is made from strong materials. I would definitely recommend this product.

Recommended by a professional locksmith as the one fitted by the builder 10 years ago was poor quality and not very secure. This is a 70mm one, there are other sizes.
