Pros: The Brabantia mail box is sturdy and well finished. The white paint looks stylish and has a nice solid look to it. The box hangs well on the wall, the letter opening is a good size to take magazines and packets, and it looks tidy and smart. Cons: We have not had any problems with the Brabantia mail box.

A mail box was required to ensure the safety of our mail and at the same time be easy to use and to keep the mail dry. This unit meets all of the above requirements. It was easy to install and looks good in our porch. So far we have not encounted any problems and seems to be performing as we expected. the price was economical and it looks as if it will give value for money service

This type of mail box looks neat and tidy and being white matches the pained exterior walls. This item is very much recommended and should satisfy those who had similar needs to ourselves

Pros: Unfussy design. It means that I no longer have post sticking out my door. Cons: The lock is a bit 'rough'. I marked it only fair for security because one can reach in and pick out large letters without having to open the box.

The brabantia post box is both sturdy in construction and also visually attractive. The letter box is very easily fixed to the wall. The box opening ( width and height) is sufficient for both standard and large letters and the key operated door provides gives adequate security.

On having a new insulated porch built I wanted an external post box to prevent drafts. The local postman asked that it be high capacity and top opening. This post box is an ideal fit. The colour choice allows it to match the door. The width of the top opening allows the easy insertion of the magazines and periodicals I have regularly delivered. It seems weatherproof to the worst the weather can throw at it and not a drop of water has entered during the recent thunderstorms. For its size, shape, capacity and quality it represents good value for money.

Bit pricey compared to other post boxes but well built and looks good. Postman likes it and it easily copes with a week's worth of post if needed. Only downside was the short length of the screw fittings provided. Much longer ones ( which I had to purchase) are needed if you are mounting this box on a brick wall.

Does the job, pretty good build quality, although you'd expect it to be for the price! Easy to mount, even on our knobbly rendered walls, but we used our own screws as the ones it comes with are a bit short for screwing into an exterior brick/render wall and not great quality. Comes with 2 keys, ideally one more would be useful (one each plus a spare...) but not a major problem. Also, it would be great if it came in more colours (e.g. cream) rather than stark white, but again, not a big drama. All in all, we're happy with it, its does what its meant to do and is unobtrusive.

Looks good, easy to use but the post is always damp!

Product does what it says on the tin. Looks good in white. Postman hasn't complained. Weather Resistance can only be checked after a much longer period.

Not as robust as I had hoped.

Had to change the lock because it was "binding" and couldn't be turned.

Being able to reverse the hinges would be a plus.

Pros: weather proof excellent looking and has been admired even by the postman who thanked us for fitting it rather than a letterbox Cons: Screw holes at the bottom were too low for ease of access because of the bottom lip

The Decayeux post box was delivered promptly and it now looks good next to my new front door. Build quality is excellent and the installation was easy, although it is a pity that they did not include a suitable size torx key with the supplied wall screws as I had to buy a torx set just for the job. I would certainly use Safe for any future requirements.

A nicely deigned product, very neat and goes well against a white wall. It is easy to install with clear instructions. Access opening is wide enough to accommodate most small packages and all newspapers or magazines. Resistance to weather appears good but it has yet to go through a winter where it is wet and windy here on the coast. Some items have come out of the box with water marks which is a cause for concern. When opening the box it is helpful to have a cloth to wipe away rainwater on the surrounding surfaces and rubber. Finally it would be helpful to have a marker to show that mail has been, left such as those on American mailboxes.

The mail box was easy to fit and looks very smart in its position beside the front door. Capacity is generous and copes well with the large amounts of mail that we receive - the postie has not had any trouble with the new mail box or at least hasn't verbalised any complaints. The mail box is fitted to the external wall of a property in Keswick in the Lake District and as anyone who knows the Lakes will know we get quite a lot of the wet stuff. However, the mail box's design means that it keeps out the rain and the mail remains dry. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.

This postbox is the best we have seen. It is very robust and well finished. It enhances the house and matches all the doors and windows. The lock makes it secure. The postman and paper boy have no difficulty using it. It hold all our mail and even the Sunday Paper with all the suppliments with ease. It meets all our needs. It was bought on line so we had to rely on the adverisment before purchase. The description was perfect. We got just what was described which was just what we needed. In all it is a good product easy to erect and good looking in use.

I couldn't be happier with my wall mounted post box. I looked at lots of other wall mounted post boxes, and this one is much better than everything else I saw. The build quality is superb, and it looks very good on the wall. I have had a stable door fitted for a front door, unusual apparently as they are usually employed as back or side doors. A consequence of this is I couldn't have a letter box fitted to the door. I am very happy to say the Safe Company post box has remedied that problem very well. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it to anyone who finds they need one.

After much consideration l decided to buy the Brabantia white post box. It is very well made and just the right size. It look very attractive next to our front door. The key provided is a perfect fit and turns so easily!

Excellent quality of product reflected in the price. Ordering and delivery excellent. Easy to open door. Ours is located in a porch so no weather issues to contend with. I think the lid would be heavy enough to be weather tight in a more exposed situation. A very determined person could probably extract larger mail via the lid. It does make placing of the mail in the box easier for the postman compared with a horizontal slot. If one was having regular delivery of magazine size items a bigger box might be necessary. We are entirely satisfied with the box and would recommend to other people.

we purchased the post box firstly as we have had previous experience with Brabantia which was excellent. we did some research however and the white post box was by far the best looking. we also were looking for a product that was easy to use, strong and durable. when the post box arrived it was well packaged and it came with full fitting instructions .The fitting screws were of a high quality and it took approx. 15 mins to fix the post box to the wall adjacent to our front door. I really liked the fact that the post box sat out from the wall with rubber washers. the paint finish and design only added to our new front door and I would highly recommend it and it should last for many years.

Even my postman said I had bought the correct type of box with a lift up lid. The only criticism is that the lower fixing screws require a French style Alan key to tighten. If the holes were nearer the centre one could get a normal screwdriver onto them.

Speedy delivery and clear product information made ordering very straitforward. Although I did not install the box myself I noted the clear instructions. Problem at first with lock but excellent service and speedy replacement of part. Impressed with receipt of courtesy call to check problem solved - which it was. One of the more expensive boxes on the market but hope it will not let in water or rust which we know can happen with cheaper products. Would recommend to others needing a good capacity letterbox. Spare key a very useful addition and the bright orange 'keyring' a thoughtful bonus!

Installation was easy enough to undertake. Complete with all the necessary fixings and the fittings. Letterbox seems well built and finish suitably robust. Would like a left-hand hinge option, but, despite this, are more than satisfied with the letterbox. Still, this letterbox is perfect for our requirements and needs. Large enough to accommodate our post and but not an eyesore that looks like some GP surgery sample submission box hanging off the wall for all and sundry to see. Key fits lock easily and turns without catching. Rubber damping grommets prevent the lid from slamming and banging when post is delivered.

Bit tricky to put on wall if doing it as a one-person job.Definitely need to use a template to drill the holes in right place. Been up a few months now. No signs of any weathering or fadinfg/rusting. No leakd whatsoever. aAll contenst remaoined 100% dry.

For normal domestic use I can't see why you need anything bigger (all mail and small parcels have fitted so far).

Key/Lock operation fine (two keys provided). I will put a bit of WD40 in lock from time to time though.

Summary: I wish I'd bought one of these these years ago!!

After having a new door fitted, I needed a post box attached to my home.

I did some research and found this item. It is exactly what I wanted. It has easy top access. A lid to keep the contents dry. Its feels very sturdy and is of good quality. It looks very smart outside my home. I'm very pleased with this product.

Blends well on my wall and easy for the postman.

Exceptionally pleased with this item. We were looking at it online when we discovered our neighbour had the exact same one so I was able to actually look at it before ordering. Really pleased with the quality for the price and its a good size for us and quite unobtrusive on the outside of the house.

I did quite a bit of research before landing on this product as the location of the box is extremely exposed to the weather so I needed something that would be absolutely watertight.

After reading reviews of others that purported to be weatherproof, it turned out that they might withstand a light shower but that was about it. I noticed lots of people mentioning that they had a similar issue to me and that this box did the trick.

They weren't wrong! We went on holiday for 10 days during which we had a typical British Summer deluge and on our return the box was only half full and everything inside it was bone dry.

So for anyone in my situation (ie. in the UK with no porch) I can't recommend this product highly enough!

Excellent product.

This was easy to fit and would do what we wanted, but it lets in the rain. I have used silicon around the fixings but it still leaks. Not sure where it comes in from, but it is very annoying when the letters are wet.

Given that this was expensive and by a good make, very disappointed.

Very easy for me to install, once I realised a small bit of tape could hold the bumpers on the back of the box when trying to screw it in.

Really like the look of the box, no water leakage, good capacity, no banging in the wind and the drilling template was excellent. 5 stars.

the only thing that lets this down is the lowest grade lock. it jams and then fully jams. unustesble after a few weeks use. it’s such a disappointment that it’s only for the want of a decent quality lock mechanism and it’d be great. i shall not purchase this one for my other properties. such a shame. lock itself needs replacing!

Great postbox. Looks neat on the wall, easy to use and keeps the post dry. Easy to hang - thanks for the stainless screws (just long enough).

The post is secure inside and not visible. Unlike some boxes, it's not easy to get fingers inside!

I would recommend.
