We had purchased a cheaper version which proved to be a big mistake.This box is watertight . It is a solid construction and an excellent outdoor paint finish. Most sizes of mail fit the opening. Also it is a deep and has a roomy storage for the mail. The chances of anything hanging out of the box is rare. Ideal when one is away from home for a week. Easy installation and duplicate keys can be purchased easily when you quote its code number. Wished we had bought the Brabantia in the first place it would have saved us moneyThey are really the Post Box People . They give you a varied selection to choose from. Many Thanks

It has delivered in terms of capacity, weatherproofness and appearance. My one criticism is the wall fixing design which is a 2 person job and would be easier if 3 or 4 bolts could be first screwed into the wall (preferably using a template provided for accurate location) enabling the box to be slid onto these. The bolts would take the weight of the box whilst the nuts were attached inside the box and tightened, enabling one person to fit it.

This product is great our previous mail box let in water everywhere. We purchased this mail box in December last year and it has stood up to the very wet winter we have just got through. We have had dry mail and parcels all through the bad weather it has certainly lived up to its promises. It is very sturdy but still looks nice on the wall, well made and very easy to install and use. If I needed one at home I would not think twice about ordering one of these. This product is the Quality I have come to expect from Brabantia and would strongly recommend it for work or home use and find that as always you get what you pay for

This is a great product, lots of colours to choose from. It is a little on the expensive side as there are a large number of similar products on the market. However, we had the same one at our old house for over 10 years (different colour) and was still in great condition, so I knew the quality was great and could withstand any weather conditions requiring little if no maintenance. It was a little tricky to line up but the drill hole cut out that came with it helped massively. Size wise it fits large meters and small parcels without any problems. Great service from safe uk too.

This post box was easy to install and keeps my mail dry and secure.

I was looking for a replacement post box to one that was 20+ years old and was very similar in style the Decayeux D560. The old one had begun to leak and soggy letters were becoming a common theme. Having found my old one was a Brabantia, I discovered that Decayeux were the original manufacturer of the one that i had purchased previously which led me to this model. I then looked around for reviews and prices and decided to use safe.co.uk and am pleased to say I am very happy that I did. Ordering was fast and easy, confirmation of order was immediate (a relief when you are ordering from a company for the first time), dispatch confirmation, tracking and email of the invoice was done fast and without prompt! Super service and would definitely use again. Overall, really pleased with the product, it fits in place of the old one, the pre-drilled holes were not quite in the right place for us and i was concerned that i would again receive soggy mail so blocked those up. Very happy with the size, we regularly receive larger letters and magazines and they go in the box no problem, great quality and looks very smart and hoping it will last as long as the old one! Generally the product is excellent & it does the job very well. Service received also excellent. The only problem was the fixings. The screws weren't sufficiently long enough to hold by the time you go through the stand off rubber. Bought some new longer stainless screws. The slotted fixing holes would be far better positioned at the top rather than bottom which would avoid having to fix & locate screws through the letter box flap. Minor things but would make the fixing very much easier.

I was searching for a large capacity postbox for my new house to replace one that was too small. I have previously purchased Brabantia products so when I saw the B560 Dark Grey Post Box advertised on the Safe website , I knew it would be of good quality.

Ordering on the website was a stress free experience and delivery was completed in a timely manner. On opening the package, I was not disappointed and the postbox was exactly as described.It is very robust and smart looking. Mounting it was easy with the fitting instructions and parts included in the package. I would recommend both Safe and Brabantia without reservation to other customers.

The Brabantia B560 dark grey post box arrived in a well protected package so reducing the potential for any damage during transit. On opening the package it was apparent that the product was well made. All the parts for fixing were inside the post box itself, including the keys, but they were soon easily retrieved by turning the box upside down and opening the flap.

The package arrives with a paper template for the fixing of the product to the wall in order to align the drill holes correctly and I would say it’s essential to use this for ease and accuracy.

It is a little cumbersome for one person to hold the post box to the wall and fix the first screws at the same time simply because the door is open etc and holding with one hand to support it as it is quite heavy, so two pairs of hands would be easier.

In use the post box looks good, it’s a substantial product, holds a good amount of mail, including magazines etc and lastly keeps the mail dry which was a major point when I considered buying this product. It’s not the cheapest but it has lived up to my expectations on all counts.

This post box is excellent it holds a good 10days worth of mail. The postman loves it,he says its so easy to post letters through the large slot. Highly recommend spending a bit more to get this very well made top quality box

Although more expensive than other brands, it’s worth the money. Can fit large padded envelopes easily and can fit lots of post. Very secure and stays dry even in heavy rain.

The box looks very stylish!

But it needed to be positioned about waist height on an exterior wall. The design of the box made it extremely difficult to reach the holes at the back of the box to screw it to the wall.

Also I’d have preferred a version that does not need the key to open it, but these don’t seem to exist.

So, only moderately happy .

It is excellent and easy to use. It looks quality when there are many inferior letter boxes in the market.

You really do get what you pay for. Although this isn't a cheap postbox, it's still good value for money.

Unlike cheaper postboxes of inferior build quality, this postbox will clearly withstand the testing conditions of my coastal home. The build quality is clearly great, and there's no rust or fading showing since this has been put up.

4 screws to hang on the wall, and comes with a template to drill the holes. Took 15 minutes at most to hang.

The colour and style is great, and will compliment any brick or wall colour.

Absolutely no water ingress, and we've had some pretty torrential downpours in the months this has been up.

Cheaper postboxes are a false economy, as they're likely to need replacing every couple of years. You won't have this problem with the Brabantia postbox. Highly recommended.

We are very pleased with our post box. It is secure and the mail is always dry even on a west facing wall on the Cumbrian fells!

This is the first time we have had an outside mail box fitted to our house and really can’t think why we have not done it before. The box is well constructed and fits neatly on an outside wall. It is large enough for magazines to fit easily through the opening and stay dry in wet weather. It can stand on ground level but we chose to place it on our wall by the front door at eye level.

Overall we are very pleased with our purchase and have recommended it to many of the friends who have admired it on our house wall.

I like this Dark Grey Post Box. it is designed really well. It is a simple and strong design. The postman likes it as well. It was easily mounted on a brick wall with mountings provided with the box.

We get quite a lot of A4 sized post and this used to be left by the door and is now properly left in or box. We have had the box for few months now and there is no sign of any deterioration.

Ordering the product was easy and delivery was prompt.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a robust post box.

Not the quality and strength of construction that I was expecting

Early days yet but it looks like a very well made product and should stand up to the rigours of beach life here in Bracklesham Bay. A good sized box, easy to mount in our porch, and the postman seems pretty happy with it too.p

Prompt delivery after placing the order and the courier did well to locate our house as we only have house names rather than numbers in our road.

So, the box is operational, and will hopefully give us many good years of use.

So yes, I would recommend the product to anyone who might be considering a new letterbox.

The B560 mail box is really sturdy and strong. The lock is secure enough, and with our house number screwed to the front of the box it’s made a really smart addition to our gate!

The post fits in well, although it struggles with catalogs (not really bothered about that!!).

It’s fairly weather proof, only one occasion when the mail got a bit damp but my fault as I didn’t collect it for a couple of days.

Good capacity for lots of mail, letters and the odd small package that has been bought online!!

We bought the Post Box to fit on the Brabantia mounting post which we also bought from Safe.co.uk. They are both excellent products and look very smart. They appear to be very durable and much better quality than other brands available

great looking functional postbox and does what it,s expected to. Postie commented he wouldn't be able to but larger pa keys in through narrow slot but would argue it's a letter box. Initially a little fiddly to install on uneven masonry but got there in the, looks great and avoided an ugly letter box perforation in our new front door. House guttering will be painted same colour next Spring.

Excellent quality product. Brabantia pedigree. Weather resistant, no rain gets in. Like the size and capacity - can take A4 papers, magazines etc. and you don’t have to empty it every day. Plenty storage space if you were away on holiday for example. Also, strong and durable components.

Prompt delivery and clear instructions on how to fix to the wall meant that I had my post box up and running within two days of ordering.

The post man seemed very pleased that it accepted all sizes of letters and journals, and saved him having to bend down to the bottom of the door as previously.

The capacity means that even after a 3 week holiday the box was not overflowing with mail, despite several bulky magazines which my wife orders regularly.

The box looks very smart but inconspicuous, we chose a dark grey colour.

After several weeks of heavy rain, there has been no hint of water getting into the mail box, and the box is also robust enough to deter pilfering. Overall a good buy.

I bought this product when the previous post box supplied by a garage door company proved not to be water tight. I search on the internet and found the Brabantia B560 dark grey box which has a large capacity, a wide postal slot, was advertised as being waterproof and was just the right colour match for my new garage door. It has now been on the garage wall for nearly three months and has proved perfect in nearly every way. Wide A4 envelopes are easily placed inside the box due to the wide postal slot making mail deliveries easy for the postmen. The only issue I have found with it is that one leaflet deliverer did not push their leaflets right through leaving the postal slot flap open which if I'd been on holiday would have remained open until the next delivery of mail.

Well it does what it should is sturdy and looks good. I was told a post box should be big enough to hold big post which it does while not sticking out so to be a target for thiefs. I used the car polish on it so the rain does not hurt it. It was easy to fix on wall even I could do it. My post man was pleased with it as did not bite his hand when delivered letters like letter box can do. So all in all ticks all the boxes (ha ha) I wanted it to

Perfect for it's purpose. The fittings supplied are a little lightweight, I replaced these with something a little more sturdy for an outside wall, but other than that it looks good and keeps letters dry. Pretty easy to install in 10 minutes. Bags of storage unless you have lots of mail order catalogues delivered all at the same time !

I am really happy with this post box. I had to have a post box as my little dog loves to attack the mail & when I mentioned getting one to my postman he told me not to get one that was quite small but one that can hold A4 mail & not have it sticking out & this one does the job perfectly & it looks great - I have to admit that when I first saw it, I did think it looked big but when it is on the front of the house it doesn't look too big at all.

I bought this Metal LetterBox with Newspaper attachment few months ago and I am very pleased with the quality of the product..The only think is when it rains heavy, little water gets in . Overall it is great buy

Having suffered from wet post every time it rained with our old post box we decided to invest in a new one. Having researched we decided to go for the Brabantia B560 and we are very pleased that we did. t looks smart, without attracting unwanted attention, was easy to fit and our post has been dry ever since even when we forget to empty the post box for a few days. Fortunately the capacity is big enough for loads of letters and small packages so it easily caters for a few days post... Overall it is very good and we would definitely recommend...

Good solid product,looks good and good capacity for large loads of mail.

So many postboxes are too small or much too large. This one strikes just the right balance and is well built. The opening is large enough for sizeable Jiffy bags. It is easy for the postal delivery person and saves him knocking with oversize letters. It was easy to drill holes in the correct position using the template marked on the packaging box. It is in an south facing position and in salty air but the coating seems to have been applied thoroughly with no exposed edges that will fail prematurely. I would recommend this product candy have been pleased with other Brabantia products.

The Brabantia B560 is well-made, has good capacity for larger envelopes and can cope with two or three days' normal mail without trouble if you're away. The lock is more sturdy than those we have had in the past, and the key turns easily. It looks good, stylish without being flashy, and looks totally in place where we are - and old house in a lovely old village. I had no trouble hanging the box, although I read that some have found it tricky and I'm no whiz at drilling. I you want a solidly built, good-looking post box with large capacity I would look no further.

A good basic post box.

I ordered this post box as a replacement for one damaged by a turning lorry. It is slightly larger but the extra inch in one direction and half inch in the other seems to make a great of difference to capacity. The post opening is much larger but secure and impossible for small hands to reach inside. It can take smaller Royal Mail parcels and large magazines with ease. Fitting the box is easy for anyone with very basic diy skills. It has been subjected to a great deal of rain recently and there has been no sign of any water ingress. An excellent box. Secure, large, rainproof and looks good too.

Choosing items online can be a step into the unknown, will we get what we expect. This postbox has lived up to our expectations. It is stylish, solid and has good storage capacity. Having two keys is reassuring, we keep one on our key ring and the other safe, just in case. The design is good, and we have not had any problems with water getting inside. Would recommend this to others.

Excellent stylish and well-built product.

I purchased this box after quite a lot of research. Ordering was easy, and it arrived very quickly. I have put it on a cottage wall in St Ives Cornwall, and I must admit it was larger than I thought. However once on the wall it looks fine and will easily accept A4 post. Does not rattle in the wind and appears very weather proof. Salt water and sea air are quite harsh on anything metal, but I it appears made well and I guess only time will tell.

I would recommend this post box as it has a large capacity and both looks good and appears to be well-made.

Excellent Quality

The purchase and delivery service was very quick and efficient. It came well packaged with no damage. Fitting was really easy and it looks great next to my new front door. It is easy to open, weather proof and happy it came with 2 keys.

Glad we went for the bigger one as it keeps the post flat. I think it would have been good if it had a name or number space but not a big issue. I Would recommend this product and am very happy with it. It did cost a bit more than I was looking to spend but overall very happy.

Our post box is in an exposed location and it keeps the mail dry in wind and rain.

We’ve had our new post box in place a couple of months now & so far it’s been brilliant. Ours is situated on an exposed outside wall and so far has withstood both wind and rain. Our post does not get wet inside (unless the post person accidentally leaves some of it sticking out of the flap) and the large capacity holds several magazines and A4 Jiffy bags. The flap is very good and always shuts after the post has been delivered. Yes the box is quite expensive but it is worth it as the quality is very good. Would highly recommend. :o)

Excellent product and exactly what we required.

Very pleased with this postbox. I spent a lot of time looking for a weatherproof box for installation on the front of a house, and this item fits the bill 100%. I fitted it two weeks before Christmas, and despite the bad weather since then there has been no water inside the postbox. Letters get damp if they are left in the box but this is an environmental issue and nothing to do with the integrity of the box, it doesn't let rain or snow in. I am very pleased with this postbox and I feel that I can recommend it.

big enough to take catalogues etc, easy for mailman to use and easy to open. Nicely unobtrusive so not inviting vandalism or theft.It seems to be coated with a protected rain-proof coating so should not be prone to rust. The installation was simple with holes in the back wall which made it easy to attach with screws to the fence outside our garden. Thus, it is perfect for our postman who is anti dog - he kicks out at her which of course only invites her to challenge him. This box has saved the day or we would have to go collect our mail ea day from the PO.

First of all I was extremely pleased with the response of the Safe customer service team as the original post box arrived with a damaged corner even though the packaging was sturdy. My replacement came with no additional charges and arrived promptly. With the fixings provided it was easy to fit to the wooden post I had installed for it and I made sure it was weather proof, one of my concerns when reading other external post box reviews, by applying a suitable mastic sealer where the box connected to the post. Not sure if this was really necessary but over the past couple of months there has been no problem with the post getting wet. This is a large post box which is well made and looks impressive. It can fit A4 size envelopes easily and for security / additional weather proofing has a swing flap which closes once the incoming post has been delivered. Highly recommend.

The post box is perfect for all general post, the postman has some difficulties putting in large certificate envelopes other than that it is great. Not difficult to install, although a second pair of hands would be useful. I would also recommend purchasing the newspaper holder that fits underneath, as this is a great addition. The overall appearance is very nice and the finish is excellent. The packaging was adequate and the instructions were easy to follow. Overall, I am very pleased with my post box. It is a great addition to the house, and it stops people from bending to put post through our door.

Very sturdy post box and although I didn't fit it, I was told it was easy enough to install. Not had any extreme weather, but there has been enough rain to test it out, and no rain gets inside and the post is completely dry. Very happy with this product.

The post box is what we wanted it to be. It looks good on the wall outside the gate and stops the need for the postman to brave meeting our Spaniel.

I bought this item 3 months ago to replace a smaller post box that often allowed rain in to damage the mail. This new box has proved totally weather proof in that time protecting the mail from the worst of the British summer weather and I am confident that it will continue to do so throughout the year. The capacity of this box has proved large enough to contain 2 weeks worth of mail securely while away on holiday and the posting slot is big enough to take magazines sideways. A quality product for a reasonable price delivered promptly. Thoroughly recommended.

I ordered this product as it looked sturdy and also smart but not too big or 'stand outish' It definitely has not disappointed, I am really pleased with the product, it was easy to put up, takes a good amount of postage and is fairly water tight, it was delivered on time and in good condition and well packed, it looks pretty stylish actually and the post man has not complained yet which is a good thing! I would definitely order from The Safe Shop again if we required any of the products which they sell and would recommend the company and the box.

The mail box is in daily use and takes most of our mail. Unfortunately, large , thick envelopes do not fit but on the whole, we are very pleased with the mail box.

I am not sure if I can find 100 words to describe how good this product is other than it is easy to use, has been built of high quality material, has great storage capacity, is weather resistant and more than anything is value for money! When I was researching for this letterbox I went on the web and googled a number of sites before I came to the Safe Shop. In fact we even went to a local ironmonger and looked at other products before we decided that we wanted a Brabantia letterbox as we already owned other Brabantia products. The Safe Shop was definitely the best in reviews and delivery was prompt.

We were not sure about having a mail box but as we had had a new front door made from solid oak we did not want to cut a letter box into it. We therefore decided that the best option was a mail box and we are delighted with every aspect. It looks good and meets our requirements. It also assists the postman who does not have to bend down low to put mail into the letterbox in a door. It fits well under our porch which is good as it does not have to get weathered but we feel it is robust enough to withstand the elements.

I bought this having read the reviews and am pleased with my choice. Mail stays dry and it doesn't matter if I don't empty it every day as it can hold quite a bit. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone!!!

Good size if you regularly receive magazines and journals/papers via post. The packaging doubles as a template for drilling the mounting holes which was really helpful. Another nice feature is the inclusion of thick rubber washers which serve to hold the box away from the wall accounting for uneven surfaces.

Importantly it has accepted even some parcels we had not expected and more-over has kept the deliveries dry even in the recent heavy rains.

One odd thing was that the keys were delivered inside the locked box so we had a few minutes juggling to remove them via the letter opening!

Great product with plenty room for all our mail & completely water proof. Never had any wet mail even in all the storms we have been having. Took a long time to decide on which mailbox to purchase but glad we decided on this one it’s worth every penny. If you are looking for a mailbox that is waterproof & has large enough capacity for A4 envelopes I would recommend this one. This is a great post box. I really like the colour, it looks smart and we have not had any issue with water ingress or rusty so far. We have moved it twice due to building work and the box was very easy to put up and remove. Currently on a brick wall, it is sturdy and feels solid. I would definitely recommend this post box to others. Initially a problem with stock levels so had to wait but good communication from Safe.co.uk and was no drama. Would of liked 2 keys with it but I guess they can be cut.

We needed a new postbox, as our previous one ( which was purchased around 3 years ago from a local locksmith shop ) is now looking very rusty and tatty.

I searched online, so that I could look at reviews of different boxes.

This one came out tops for us.

Although it's not as fancy looking as some of the other ones that we saw online, we liked the size of this.

I also know the name Brabantia, and have always associated it with quality.

Along with the postbox, we also bought the newspaper holder to go underneath the box.

This is really neat and the drill holes for this go behind the postbox so it looks like it is one piece.

We are overall very impressed with both the goods and the service.

I'm really pleased with my Brabantia post box. It arrived promptly (ahead of the suggested delivery date) and was well packed and secure. The fitting instructions were good and all the fittings were well designed and robust. The fitting wasn't the easiest task to accomplish as the washers that stand the post box off the wall (for the top two screws) had to be placed in a small gap. With the box being quite awkward to hold it was really a two person job. The post box looks really smart but it is too early to say how well it will last - from the build quality I'm expecting it will do the job for years to come.

Brabantia is a brand well known for its good quality products, so despite the box costing three times as much as the cheapest product I felt it worth buying and was not disappointed. The coating and finish are attractive and the construction fittings and materials used are far superior to cheaper products which feel and look “tinny”.

The lock is a good one and to add to the security it is impossible to view the contents of the locked box or reach in with a small hand or any grab type tool. The door closes and shuts in cushioned manner and the contents are totally protected from the weather.

Fitting to the wall was easy with the ingenious provision of a template, integral to the substantial box in which the product arrived.
