I got used to using the thumbturn within 30 seconds. All visitors try it and want one. I wasted days checking such locks from different manufacturers wondering what the differences were, or worrying if my hands would turn the thumbturn easily. They do. Also, it can be unlocked from either side, whereas older Eurolocks, if dementia Dad had locked himself in, we could not unlock.

After some problems with another supplier who supplied a faulty product from a world know manufacturer, I ordered a paired of keyed alike locks for my front and back doors plus spare keys, My doors are aluminium double glazed doors and they fitted easily, the big plus is that the locks I bought had a vertical key entrance slot and 3 star security my wife who has arthritis in her hands cannot easily manage to use the far more common secure locks with horizontal key slots. The keyed alike feature saves carrying two different keys,After this purchase I went on to buy from this supplier a lock for my patio doors which a again fitted easily.
