We live near the coast so needed a weather proof, corrosion resistant and good capacity letterbox. The Decayeux D560 ticked all the boxes (sorry for the pun). Easy to self-install with good instructions and a marking-out template for the wall. It looks good on our cottage and has proved to be genuinely weather-tight no matter what the wind and rain throws at it. We recently went away for nearly two weeks and it coped adequately with our mail in our absence. A neighbour admired it and said he wanted one too. Overall, highly recommended.

This is a quality product build out of what appears to be high spec stainless steel. Time will tell if it is or not!

It took ages to arrive, and that was pre COVID-19 so check stock if you are wanting it quickly.

It was very simple to fix to the wall, with a drilling template supplied on the box. The screws supplied looked too short to hold securely (I was fixing to an uneven stone surface, so I had to use spacers on some of the screws) therefore I had to buy longer stainless steel screws, which of course you cannot find singly. Add £10 for the screws!!

Finally there are four screws to fix, the lower pair of fixings use a keyhole type slot so you can put the screws in and slide the box over them into position, leaving you to put the upper pair of screws through circular holes! However these upper holes are accessible from the letter flap, so if a thief wanted to unscrew your expensive new postbox from the wall they would simply open the letter flap, unscrew the top screws and slide the box off the lower pair of screws!! There needs to be a fifth screw hole positioned between midway up the box, inaccessible from the letter flap which would prevent easy removal?
