If I fitted a smoke detector to my EF-KIT2, can I set the main panel to phone me with a message indicating a fire rather than the existing message saying intruder alert?

The alarm will only indicate that the alarm has been activated and will therefore only advise intruder.

Can these be hard wired as well as battery?

Unfortunately the Yale Easy Fit Smoke Detector cannot be hard wired.

Will the wireless smoke detector work as an indoor siren, i.e. will the detector sound if the main alarm system detects an intrusion?

The smoke detector siren will sound if there is a fire only and the external siren will also trigger in this situation. For any events other than a fire, the smoke detector will not sound.

If your smoke detector went off will this trigger a notification to your phone? If you're out and a fire starts, would you be notified as long as the smoke detector picks it up?

If smoke is detected, the alarm siren will sound and you will receive a notification to your phone.

I'm unsure of the model of my Yale alarm. I have taken the hub off the wall and it is the “smart hub 2 SR-Hub”.

Will this alarm work with my system?

When this is connected to a Yale alarm (Kit 2), does this sound just the control panel alarm or the bell box alarm outside when it detects a fire?

In the unlikely event of a fire, the control panel will dial out advising of a fire and the siren outside will also sound.
