I was able to amend the order prior to despatch, as I had specified the wrong colour initially. This change was handled well, and the product arrived promptly and was ideal for the job. I particularly found the measurement shown on the website valuable to check that it would fit.

Since i ordered this item the picture has been changed and is NOT the same as i was expecting in that the barrel i wanted was square rather than oval top and bottom, the original picture appeared to be square which is why I opted for this item. With it NOT being identical to the item i was replacing for a local pensioner - which i was doing at my cost for her wellbeing - i had to apply a chisel to the existing door surface.. This was actually easier than i had anticipated as i needed to remove less than a 1mm slither but then i found that the catch did not fit into the existing door plate thus i had to replace that too, with the door plate supplied - again not quite the same size and left me using a chisel on the door frame to engage the product. I had no issues with the cost which frankly i thought was good value, and apart from a little chiselling of wood it was easy to install BUT had it been as indicated in the original picture maybe this would not have been needed but despite being shown as identical sizes there was just a slight difference - hence the chiselling. more so on catch plate than the catch itself. Security does not really enter into things as this is simply an internal door catch that was to replace the original that has simply become fully jammed. Despite the negative of not being quite what i expected i am happy that it was quick to adapt the door and frame with relatively minimal effort, that it appears to be a good quality product at a cheap price so my pocket was not dented as I gave peace of mind and safety to the lady concerned in her own home [84 y.o. pensioner] who was appreciative of the fix!!

It's fine thanks. Bought it to replace a 30-plus year old door latch, also brass, which had stopped retracting fully. This one works well. Hopefully for another 30 years. Arrived promptly and as advetised, so no complaints. Seems a well-made product. Nothiung else to say really.
