Bought as a replacement for a cheap knackered tubular latch that broke in situ and locked the door closed!

Union Tubular Latch arrived promptly and does not dissapoint. First impressions are good after easy replacement of previous failed latch that came with the house. Fitting was easy, a direct no hassle replacement and works smoothly and well. No problems at all, so far.

Some components appear to be manufactured from a hard plastic, but as long as the Latch works and does its work, I have no problems with its construction. Fit and finish are excellent for the price. Great service, thanks!

Is this latch suitable for unsprung door handles?

This latch is not suitable for use with an unsprung door handle. However, if you are interested in one that can, you may be interested in the Union 2657 - Upright Latch (65mm).
