We were in need of a new safe, after much researching we decided to purchase the Chubbsafe fire 50. We are a company, so good quality products are of utmost importance, also emphasis has to be on security and value for money. The safe is good but could be improved by having a deeper metal plinth at its door opening this would allow for deeper carpet or tiling up to the door. The safe was not bolted down adequately into the concrete in fact one of the bolts could be turned out by hand without any socket spanner! This has been resolved but was not apparent after delivery and fixing. Although bolted to solid concrete the bolts also needed to be longer and more care taken. That said the safe is OK but installation needs much more care and supervision by your company. This is reflected in my value for money score.

This product is ideal, robust enough so as cannot be moved easily, simple to lock (key), large enough to hold laptop and other hardcopy documents with ease.

The build quality is exceptional and is flawless with a well painted finish that reflects on the workmanship which was put into the construction of the safe.

Installation was finalised using the heavy duty bolts which were supplied. Although manufacturers recommendation is to secure to a concrete base, we had a reinforced wooden floor constructed in the new fitted bedroom wardrobes and this was more than adequte for taking the weight. Overall we are more than satisfied with the quality and functionality of this safe.
