The safe is like a hotel safe. It is big enough to fit in A4 folders and has a removable shelf should you want anything larger. The operation is simple and the alarm and inside light are nice features. The alarm is quite sensitive to any jolts. The only downside I found was not with the safe itself but with the supplied fittings. The bolts were to large to fit through the holes in the back of the safe and they are only good for solid concrete. I had to buy different wall bolts to fit. All together though a good sturdy product that gives peace of mind.

I ordered this safe to house my valuables such as cash, jewellery, passports etc. It does everything I wanted it to do and has plenty of space in it. I have tested the alarm that is included, but this wasn't a feature that I bought it for.

The safe is relatively light weight and is also very easy to use through the digital panel on the front. Spare keys were included for emergencies, which is ideal as I do forget passcodes occasionally. The casing feels sturdy and I am certain that it would take some considerable force to break into. It appears to be well manufactured and I have confidence in this. I didn't buy it as a fireproof safe but also feel confident that valuables would be protected long enough to survive a fire at home.

All around a good purchase at a good price.

A great way to protect general home valuables. However, unless the safe is hidden away, then in my opinion it wouldn't deter a burgler, especially if the house were empty and a little bit of noise was not a problem (to either break into the safe onsite, or to remove it and take it away).

The safe provides for securing via the base and/or back, it is really easy to operate and the battery operated internal light is very useful. The build quality seems good and overall I'm pretty impressed.

I set our safe into a wall, not what it was designed for but it meant I could hide it away and it had worked really well.

Overall the safe is great value for money and I would certainly recommend.

My wife and Myself wanted a safe, mainly, to keep important documents in. We looked at a variety of brands and a variety of sizes, bearing in mind that some documents were A4 which we could not easily fold as they were quite thick, in reality they were almost books. we also wanted to keep a few valuables and some cash. The Phoenix Rhea SS0102e fitted the bill perfectly and after a phone call to our insurance company to confirm they were happy, it was duly ordered. Ordering was easy and delivery quick and on time. Installing the safe was easy enough, though I have seen better types of bolts for securing into concrete. However after securing with the bolts provided I was happy that the fitting was secure and solid. Operation is simple and the accompanying installation and operating instructions easy to follow All in all I am happy with the product and with Safe.co.uk. and would recommend both the company and the product.

Came on time and installed quite easily. The only reason I gave it four stars on the ease of setting it up we had a bit of trouble putting in our passcode.

I want to enclose this safe into an existing cupboard but the width is too large. Would I loose any functionality if I turned it 90 deg to fit? Would it still operate the same?
Paul Smith, Birmingham
The safe is designed to be used whilst positioned on its base with the door opening out. Though the unit may function perfectly well in a different position it will not have been tested for use in this manner so future issues accessing the safe cannot be entirely ruled out.

Standard Safe <25kg Installation

We offer professional installation on our complete range of lightweight safes under 25kgs.

Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your safe.

Your installation will include bolting the safe to the floor or wall using the anchor bolts included with your safe. Anchor bolts are designed for use with a solid surface such as brick or concrete. We cannot install your safe to floorboards or a stud plasterboard wall.

If you are choosing a wall installation you must ensure the skirting board has been removed prior to installation.

The position of your safe will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes/cables or under floor heating.

The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the safe is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your safe and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

  • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
  • Road closure including necessary permits.
  • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

These additional elements are deemed to fall outside the definition of a 'Standard Installation'. If you feel your installation might be non-standard please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

If applicable, additional costs are to be paid before installation begins.
