There are a wide variety of door locks available, all with different functions for different purposes. Selecting a lock for an exterior door is quite a different proposition to that of an interior door as the security required for an external door should be much greater. For this reason, locks on an exit door should include a deadbolt and ideally be an insurance approved British Standard lock.
