Buying a new safe? Read our guide.

A safe can become an integral part of your home or office security if you know what to look for. This user-friendly guide will tell you all you need to know before you buy.

Installation

Surface Type

Solid surfaces are the most secure fixing, ideally either concrete or brick (floorboards aren't suitable), where there is no underfloor heating, cables or pipe work. Most safes and certainly all security safes come with pre-drilled holes in the base, while only some fire safes include holes in the base. Some safes also come with holes in the back if you want to install onto a solid brick wall. See safes with wall fixing.

If you're installing to a wall, you'll need to remove a section of skirting board so that the safe will sit flush with the wall.

We offer a delivery and installation service by a professional safe engineer on most of our security safes, and on selected fire safes.
