There are so many letter boxes to choose from, and such a wide price range. What I require is a top loader that is weather proof, because our house is exposed to southerly gales. However, the top flaps just don't look adequate. I'd appreciate your recommendations. Price isn't an issue if it's a good quality box.

Given the location you have mentioned I would recommend looking at the Brabantia as these are a robust and durable product. If cost is not a concern you may also wish to consider the Bobi as these are of a very high quality in construction and finish, however these units can be a much larger size than the standard size post box.
