Asec 5 Pin - Oval Thumbturn Cylinder 35 - 35 (70mm)

I bought this lock as a replacement for a similar lock as all the keys had been lost by various air heads who can never remember where they put things! anyway after looking ib b and q and wicked c Ould not find one the same ,either too big/small or wrong shape, however after going on to the internet I found this site and was able to purchase a lock virtually identical so when ahead and bought it.i found the lock very easy to fit and had no problems at all with the instructions, the lock is very solid and quite heavy and is very robust, it is nickel plated and is a five pin lock.once installed the lock was very smooth in action and the keys fitted in perfectly, no struggling as on some makes where each time you use your key you need to fiddle about with out to insert it.i was amazed at how inexpensive this lock was compared to the ones I had looked at in b and q ,and wickes it was at least half the price as the ones id looked at previously so initially I was concerned about the quality, i need not have any concerns about the quality because as soon as I unboxed the lock and inspected it I could tell it was of a very high standard,not cheap and tacky but solid and quite heavy.i am very impressed with everything about this lock including the quickness at which it was delivered.if youre not used to fitting locks it can be a bit hit and miss not knowing exactly what to look for but the web site was extremely helpful and I was able to select the right lock the first time, no costly mistakes like getting a size wrong or shape, its obvious to tradesmen that fit locks from time to time but to a novice to see page after page of locks all looking very similar its confusing and the site taught me what to look for precisely. I now feel confident in buying again and will know exactly the specifications required if I ever need to get another. all in all highly recommended. delighted with my purchase.thank you
