We bought this system after researching various options as it seemed like value for money and would do the job we envisaged. It was relatively easy to install and worked first time. The cameras are excellent quality and with 4 are able to cover all our main security locations externally around our property. The image quality (day and night) is superb and it's really easy to download video and stills from the digital recorder and import them into photo and video software on my computer. The software provided for the digital recorder is extensive. Perhaps a little bit too complex for a general user. I did need to obtain some extension video cables. Again no problems because the universal couplings and leads were available locally from various hardware stores. Overall, we are extremely happy with the system - it does everything we need it to do - even remotely from our mobile phones.

The ease of set up was 5 stars.

The equipment seems to be well made.

The length of cable for each camera was perfect.

The cameras are good but I would have paid more for more clarity and better night vision.

Night vision is really clear

Hi. I’d like to give my view on my purchase camera system. First of all the cameras are too sensitive, they start to record when is start to rain. Going outside in the night I’ve noticed that the camera did not record this which make me think that the sensor do not trigger during the night. The quality of the image of the cameras are not as I expected for 5M, especially as I’ve seen better image quality on a 2M cameras (diferent brand) on some of my friends’ cameras. Maybe my expectation was much higher!

I would appreciate any comments to improve the aboves

I did a fair bit of trial and error before choosing this system. I tried the cheap and cheerful standalone cameras through to the more reputable WiFi systems. Although the image quality was good with these, they were not reliable enough with WiFi dropout and other faults. So I decided to spend a little more and get a Swann system professionally installed. I have been happy with the system and it works. All of the time!

So my advice to anyone considering cameras is to go for a wired installation that saves the images locally on the disk unit and offers online image storage. The notifications are great and have revealed the array of wildlife in my garden. Owls, cats, other birds and scarily, one rat!

System has operated very reliably since installation 3 months ago. The quality of the bullet camera body is substantially poorer than the dome type camera. In particular the small nut and screw that allows angle adjustment on the bullet camera is very poor and flimsy. Both bullet cameras needed a degree of remedial action to fix. That said the cameras themselves seem good. The motion sensor is a little random, triggering recording with small things that are hard or impossible to spot and sometimes missing humans walking around at at distance even with the sensitivity set quite high. Night vision is acceptable but not great. The IR illumination completely washes out car number plates making them unreadable at night. The web viewing and phone viewing work OK but are a bit flaky. Can't get sound to come through on the phone app and it seems others have the same issue.

On balance, so far I am happy with the purchase and considering adding additional cameras to the system.

Excellent Value for money CCTV kit with everything you need in the box. the Android and Iphone Apps work very well and the email alert function for movement detection is a nice feature
