Really easy to set up. Can just stick the sensors, although i screwed them in. Already pre-linked together and if you but extra sensors they’re really easy to add to the system.

Easy to arm and disarm and as yet after having it for a few weeks haven’t had any false alarms or poor connection issues and all the sensors have full signal strength.

The only issue we’ve had at the minute is with using the keypad to arm or disarm as it seams to be either intermittent in its success or just doesn’t work, which isn’t too much of an issue for us as we were always looking to use the app but would’ve been a good backup just in case. Plus there’s no touch key fobs for this system only the big fobs with the buttons which don’t look as nice and take up more room on my keys.

Great little home alarm system! Really pleased with how easy it was to set up overall, and felt it was quite user-friendly and intuitive. One thing I would have liked to have seen in the Yale instructions was a note that the bell ringer itself is not treated as a device that needs to be added to the system. This led to quite a lot of confusion and frustration over the fact that it wasn't being recognised by the app. We got there in the end, though. I would also have liked the PIRs to have been designed to swivel so you could position them better for each custom room. However, I think perhaps they have such a wide detection range that there may be no need to swivel; that would just have been my preference.

There was a good range of devices available to add-on to this system, and it was easy to pair everything up. Decent price for the system, although slightly more expensive than some of the new companies offering similar devices, such as ring.

Super fast delivery from safe.co.uk, and a much better price for buying in bulk than you would get buying direct from Yale. Very impressed with this company.

The product is relatively good quality; the modular battery-operated design makes it really simple to connect and the distance these modules connect is very impressive. I have the hub at the back of my garden office 40 meters from the house and the door sensor on my front door of the house the furthest away I could put any module and it works flawlessly!

for the bad; the fire sensor includes a PIR for movement, so actually the PIR is technically redundant with the fire sensor in the same room. However, I had to disable the Movement sensor on the fire alarm because it was constantly triggering false alarms (the PIR was not triggering movement but the fire sensor was).

A nice touch is the fire alarm shows the ambient room temperature so again, in my garden office which is running various computer equipment gets very hot... it's handy to be able to keep an eye on the temps when it's hot outside so I can shut down my machine when not in use to prevent overheating or open a window/turn on a fan to keep it cool if it's idly processing data.

Another downside is no partitioning of the modules apart from Home or Away mode. This allows you some flexibility with partially disabling the system or delaying the alarm in one mode and having everything fully armed in another. For me, in any mode, the Office is fully armed but the front door sensor if off. In fully armed mode the front door sensor is armed also. This creates a zoned effect where my office is armed when I'm not using it and everything is armed when I'm away from the house. of course, I can't arm the House when I'm in the office which would be a nice bonus but not required for my Use Case.

In summary, I'd buy it again and intend to expand the modules further.

The system components were easy to install using basic DIY skills (drill in to wall and use the plugs and screws provided to fit), and as as they come 'pre-synced' the setup was very easy and quick. I was able to install the external siren near a first floor window, to enable easier battery when required, whilst keeping out of reach. All items have built in tamper protection for added security.

The pet PIR sensors work well and have yet to be triggered by our animals. The test feature gives you peace of mind that they provide good coverage, with the added option of user controlled comfort light to indicate if item working (my preference is to have this turned off).

Highly recommended for build quality, appearance / aesthetics along with confidence in the security it provides and its reliability (no false alarms to-date) and no signal dropout.

This is a great product. I have upgraded my 20 year old solution to this one from Yale after doing a fair bit of research. Found this to be very easy to install and configure, plus the ability to easily add sensors and fobs is great. The app is great to use and gives me easy visibility of alarm status whilst on the move. Also it is great to see what windows or doors are open before leaving the house, saves us marching all over the house to check. Also it gives good warning on battery status and tamper alert.

This is exactly what you would get from a monitored system like ADT but a fraction of the price and honestly the subscription fee for a monitored system hardly seems justified when all they are doing is performing the same work the app does for this system.

The app is useable and functional but not much more. I would like to see a single app that integrate all the Yale products currently I have a separate app for my yale cameras which is annoying.

Also you don’t get a notification from your smoke alarm. So it acts like any other standare smoke alarm but won’t notify you when you’re out of the house.

I live in a mobile home with no broadband router. I get decent 4G Wi-Fi through a TP Link mifi unit. It has no Ethernet ports. Is it possible to use one of your systems on this setup.
IAN gladden, brandesburton
The alarm can still be used and will function as normal. However without a wired internet connection via Ethernet to your broadband router you will not receive alerts to your mobile phone.

What's the difference between the sync IA series and the SR smart home systems and which is the newest? I presume the accessories are not compatible.
Carlos Camacho, Buckhurst Hill
The Yale Sync systems are the most recent alarm kit which Yale has released. The Yale Sync systems have a 200m wireless range as opposed to 30m from the SR systems. The Sync systems are also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Philips Hue. The components from these systems are not interchangeable

Hello, We like to use timing switches on a few lamps when we are away. Will the lamps turning on/off several times during the hours of darkness be detected by the senors and trigger the alarm?
Stephen Davies, Addlestone
The turning on off lights would not trigger the alarm. The alarm would only be triggered once motion is detected.

Standard Alarm Installation

We offer professional installation on our complete range of wireless alarm kits, for the home or business.

Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree equipment positioning before commencing the installation of your Alarm Kit, including hub, all components (including selected components purchased from Safe.co.uk) and the wireless external siren.

Your installation will include positioning motion sensors in areas to provide the most suitable sensor coverage and locating the external siren in a highly visible location. Final positions will be governed by safe site access and the effect of the building on wireless range, including wall thickness, building materials and location of your Wi-Fi equipment.

You must ensure that adequate power is available for the alarm hub (one power socket) and that easy access is available to your broadband router as this will need to be connected to your alarm hub using an ethernet cable. If your router is not close to where you intend to position the alarm hub we advise purchasing a powerline adaptor prior to install.

The engineer will set up remote monitoring on one device and then carry out a final assessment to confirm that your new system is fully operational before providing a brief demonstration of your system and confirming it has been completed to your satisfaction.

Non-standard Alarm Installation

In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

If additional costs are likely these will be discussed with you prior to installation. Reasons for extra costs might include:

  • Large commercial buildings such as warehouses and office blocks.
  • Additional alarm devices not supplied by Safe.co.uk.
  • Specialised access equipment and permits such as hoists, lifts and cranes.
  • Outside of normal hours working (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm).
  • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
  • Road closure including necessary permits.
  • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

£55.00 Surcharge Areas

  • PH 1 - 26 (No coverage in other PH postcodes)
  • PA 1 - 19 (No coverage in other PA postcodes)
  • KA 19, 26
  • ML 11, 12

£105.00 Surcharge Areas

  • IV 01-17, 30,31,32 (No coverage in other IV postcodes)
  • AB
  • DD
  • TD
  • DG
  • KW

These additional elements are deemed to fall outside the definition of a 'Standard Installation'. If you feel your installation might be non-standard please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

If applicable, additional costs are to be paid before installation begins.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.

Assessment calls raised for reasons outside our sphere of influence or responsibility and not covered by the standard installation will incur a call out charge for labour and additional materials.

The following are examples of when a call out charge would be incurred:

  • Accidental Damage
The Alarm system is knocked off alignment by high winds or moving objects such as ladders, footballs or people.
  • Malicious Damage
The Alarm system has been physically damaged by vandals or DIY.
  • Materials Failure
Previously Installed equipment (existing) or equipment included in the pre-purchased kit are deemed to be at fault. Faulty equipment such as the alarm hub, sensors, and power supply units are covered by the manufacturer warranty.
  • System Modification
A request that the installed system be modified such as sensors or the external siren be repositioned post installation.
  • Incorrect Diagnosis
The customers web portal, broadband connectivity or Mobile App are identified as being at fault or incorrectly operated by the user when trying to access the system. This includes user error and any form of software / firmware upgrades post installation.
