Perfect size its not to big and not to small like some ive seen else where, very smart and modern looking, seems a shame to hide it away, the keypad works well and theirs an added bonus of the interior light when you open the door,also which is ideal is the backup key incase the battery goes flat on the keypad or you get locked out through inputting the wrong secret number which i havent done yet the key hole is also hidden behind a very smart YALE badge which swivels round adding to the security, The raw bolt that came with the safe were fine you also get the choice of fixing through the back of the safe into a wall or through the bottom into the floor.as for the safe shop it was the best price i found and the delivery was super fast i had no problems atall.

Only problem which isnt realy but i cant think of anything else is the interior light could stay on a bit longer i think you get 30 seconds then you have to push the key button on the front And the light comes back on i suppose its a battery saving thing

Good product. Full instructions were not included, we had to go online to find out how to set security code.There was a diagram in the box which was next to useless, but it didn't even suggest on there that the full instructions were available on line. We looked in desperation when we couldn't work out how to do it.

This is a good lightweigth safe providing a secure place to keep valuables. I was worried about someone stealing jewellery and documnents, this safe provides reassurance that petty thiefs cannot just take thing from household draws etc. It is very simple to use and provides a function to set and change codes and also has a manual override key that can be kept off site. I am very please. A bit light, but if bolted down it would be very difficult to remove.

An excellent safe,small enough to be discreet and able to hide away but still with a large capacity to store valuables like; passports,wills,bank details e.t.c.

I particularly like the light to illuminate the inside, very handy if the safe is hidden away and also the combination of keypad and key is very handy.

Substantial, solid-feeling safe. Attractive design. Wide-opening door. Nicely lined with felt, removable shelf and interior lighting by LEDs. Complete with four expansion bolts for installation. Right-hinged only. Keypad could be a bit fiddly for some. Door was a tiny bit wobbly when closed - fixed with a small pad of velcro.

Had to buy a new safe as the keypad on my old safe failed. Having looked up my old safe on YouTube I also discovered it could be “cracked” by hitting it to make the locking solenoid jump downwards whilst exerting pressure on the handle. A 13 year old demonstrated that he could do it in about five seconds. Time to upgrade!

The Yale certified safe has an electronic keyboard that operates a motor that moves two solid bolts back and forth as the locking mechanism. No solenoid. There is a key override in case anything goes wrong with the electronics or the internal battery runs down, although you do get a low battery warning in plenty of time to replace them (four AA batteries). Make sure that the key is not kept inside the safe or anywhere obvious for a thief to find it (such as on the key rack by the front door). The key is double bitted (that means it has two parts to it, above and below the central key handle), which makes it harder to get copied and the lock harder to pick. The electronic combination is easily alterable to your own desired number. Don’t use 1234 or your birthday or your telephone number.

Fitting is easy for anyone used to DIY. It can be bolted to a wooden surface but I put the safe on a shelf and bolted it to a brick wall. Four expanding bolts come with the safe. Use a masonry drill to drill into a wall, assemble the bolts through the holes in the back of the safe, insert the bolts into the wall holes and tighten the bolts. In my case the holes from the old safe were in the right place and I reused those.

Please note that this safe is NOT fireproof. Yale say it is designed to protect cash to the value of 2,000 & valuables of 20,000 so be aware that it is not for keeping the Attenbury emeralds in, more day to day stuff like cheque books, credit cards, car keys, etc.

I find it quick and easy to use, easy to install and I think that it is good value for the price.

Exactly what we wanted, good build and easy to set-up and use. LED light is useful when hunting around for loose stuff. The only negative I can mention is that, while the safe can easily store A4 folders lying flat on the self, the door is smaller than A4 making it difficult to get A4 papers and folder in and out of the safe.

Our safe was delivered quickly and efficiently. It was much heavier than I expected! The quality is good and I found it easy to programme and set my combination code. I’ve used it multiple times since purchase and have had no problems with it. An additional feature which I liked is that it comes with a light inside the safe - this is great for trying to find things! It’s also a good size and have managed to fit all of the documents I need to store safely. If you are looking for a reasonable priced safe this model would be perfect for you.

Like the light! Poor fitting instructions - I "lost" 2 of the fixing bolts before I worked out how to use them - how can I get a couple of replacements; I've tried B&Q etc to no avail

Good quality product and easy to install. The only slight thing I don't like about it is that you have to bend A4 paper to get it through the door, but it does sit flat once inside the safe.

Well made and easy to install. Came with all parts to fit with good instructions. Reasonable storage in the model I purchased which just about fits everything I wanted in. Simple to use and comes with a master key in case the batteries go flat.

The internal light is a major benefit when looking for items as the inside of the safe is black. Might be better if the inside was say a lighter grey.

Overall I am very impressed either the service I received and the quality of the unit.

I fitted the safe and it was not a complicated fit

The product is easy to fit and easy to use, the build quality is solid especially for a smaller safe. Having said smaller there is still plenty of room for the likes of documents, cash and smaller valuables like jewellery, cameras, tablets etc. The nicely finished interior, done in a soft carpet like material makes it friendly against any items that could be scratched easily and a removable shelf if the safe is needed as one whole storage space. If being used in a poorly lit place the Yale safe comes with an interior light built into the door which can be turned on at will. Overall a great product.

Absolutely fantastic safe. I did a lot of research for the highest insurance rating I could afford and for the money this is the best in class. (I was not interested in the actual insurance rating, rather a £2k rated safe passes more rigorous testing than a 1K)

There are 4 mounting holes at the back of the safe. The supplied fixings are not the best, I used 4 x M8 multifix bolts with washers directly in to brickwork. (Drill an M6 hole in your masonry and then drive the M8 anchor bolt in using a ratchet with extender (there is not room for the ratchet to turn in the safe)

2 keys are supplied with the safe. The code can be programmed up to 8 digits long, the numbers of the code can be hidden by astrix on the lcd screen if someone is behind you.

The interior light is a great feature too.

As the bolts are motorized, it does not have a large handle that can be used as leverage to remove the safe.

I do keep A4 documents inside, within a plastic display folder. They do fit, but need to be maneuvered through the smaller than A4 opening.

The safe is powered by 4 x AA batteries and there is a low battery warning.

Overall, very pleased with this safe and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a small office or home safe, prompt delivery and best price!

Found it very difficult to install using the provided bolts. I believe the provided bolts are for installation in concrete. As I did not install in concrete, had to use my own bolts.

It has a good weight to it and feels substanstial, strong.

Easy to set up the passcode and also has a seperate key, to store away seperately and safely, in the event the battery runs flat or you forget your pass code. The safe also has a light which comes on for a short while each time the safe is opened and as it is secured to the floor (and wall) this is very handy when you are down on your hands and knees kin a cupboard.

easy to install. instructions very clear. i like the idea of having a key as well as digital combination, just in case i forget the number! also like having a light inside when you open the door. fantastic product for the price, and certainly a must for the normal home owner.i feel that our passports, driving licences, foreign money and spare money and important documents are now well and truly secure.

Neat and compact. You cannot reverse hand the door. The first safe had to be replaced as it wouldn't accept electronic code. - Yale sent out a complete re3placement rather than just the door, which was pointless given the safe had been permanaently fixed in the wall. - The door swap was easyand the product is now excellent

I liked the basic size and it would fit into the space we had for it. Basic functions were easy to use after we had a "Correct Set of Instructions" - the set sent with the first safe were very poorly writen (unclear). After getting the 2nd safe - and it had a "claer" set of instructions we "got on very well" - being able to both lock and unloack with ease.

Easy to fit with the bolts supplied which are more than adequate. Light in the safe is very welcome. It would be useful to have details of the size of wall drill bit to use with the bolts supplied.

Wish there was a cable to attache to wall. Only bolts for floor.

Safe is accessed several times per day. Always reliable in use. Really easy to set up / change security code. Has never let me down. Really pleased with purchase would buy again and highly recommend. Only downside is that the internal light does not stay on long enough in my opinion although this is likely to be an energy saving feature

Bit expensive for what it is

Strong well built safe, not too large nor too small. It is big enough to store A4 documents, can hold cheque books, some jewelry and a small cash box quite easily with space for a few further items. Setting up the codes was a little tricky but by following the instructions carefully it eventually all came together. The backup keys are and added bonus. The internal light also helps. This comes on for a preset time when the door is opened but can also be manually lit for extra time. Fixing holes at both back and bottom are good though I feel that due to the size of the safe fixing onto the floor would not be ideal. The only fault I could say about the safe is that the door rattles a bit when it is locked so it cannot be fitting perfectly but it still feels very securely locked. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase.

After alot of research I decided on this Yale safe. The Safe Shop price was good and the item has a 2000 cover. Ordering was easy and delivery was on time. The first safe was not quite right. It functioned but the door was not alligned well , catching on the bottom of the case. Also the hinge was noisy. Something was not right with the hinge. Not 100% satisfied I called The Safe Shop. They arranged a replacement direct from Yale and arranged collection of the faulty item. New one is much better. Quality is very good. Feels strong/robust. Plenty of room for A4 documents. The only complaint is the bolts supplied. I consider myself reasonably technical with good DIY skills but I found the anchor bolts useless. Had to go to B&Q to get some more.

This safe is made very well made and is solid in it's construction, I only marked it down because the interior light fitting comes off now and again, which is a minor irritation for me as you just clip it back into place, but a major one for my Wife as she can't manage to clip it back in! The security of the safe its self is really good, I marked down security because of the fixings provided, they are really only suitable for dense solid concrete. I was fixing to Thermolite blocks and timber floor and had to purchase specialist fixings. I am a carpenter so know what is needed to fix this securely, Joe Bloggs may just think that because it comes with bolts, they are fine, they are not. The bolts are also a little short for my liking even in concrete. I feel this is important because the safe is not too big to carried away. If in doubt get an expert to install it.

It has a high quality lock and an idiot proof digital locking system. Overall a great product.

Solid product can be drilled into the back of a cupboard. A good size so it can be hidden. Internal dimensions are small but is better if items are stored out of boxes. Then it's fine.

Compact, yet big enough to store legal documents. Ptactical security system with digital entry but override keys supplied for access if we forget combination or if we die! Walls seem thin for fire protection but I presume we believe the fire rating.

Smart looking, easy to use, internal light a real benefit

Easy to use, well built provides the capacity we require for valuables or cash, is secure and well worth the money.

It is a neat and compact safe, with an adequate storage capacity for domestic purposes. It is also relatively easy to install and set up (provided the unit supplied is not faulty!). In our particular case, the first safe that was delivered did not allow me to set the combination because one of the buttons did not work (No. 4) and this caused quite a lot of frustration and wasted time. My advice for other customers would be to test this before installing and fixing the safe in its final position. The replacement unit was fine and everything worked without a problem.

This was bought to house a number of smaller items and it's perfectly sized for our requirements. It's easy to open and close and takes all of our bits and bobs with space to spare.

It was tricky to fix in place, but that is probably more down to my DIY skills than the product. However, if burglars did manage to remove it, I don't think it would take long to open with the right equipment - it's quite heavy and robust, but wouldn't keep them out for long. Having said that, it's more of a deterrent - you'd hope they wouldn't have time to remove it while the house alarm is going off. At the price paid I feel it was good value.

With 3 months of use it has functioned perfecly.

When I first got the Safe, I threw the batteries and nothing happened, I checked everything and it still did not power on. After I took the back cover off the positive wire that went to the batteries wasn't soldered on; it wasn't that it had come off in transit, it had no solder on it at all so it was never tested at the factory. After I had soldered the wire back on it turned on and I went back to following the instructions.

The instructions were easy to follow and setup was easy. The unit feels very secure and hasn't let me down.

I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it. It arrived promptly and was well wrapped so not damaged. The size is perfect. It is not big enough to fit in my laptop but you can buy all sizes, I just happened to want a smaller one. The safe I have has both a key pad and 2 Keys. It is sturdy and you can fix it in many different way such as a shelf or it could be drilled into a concrete floor or wall. I can recommend this product and the company who supplied it to me.

An excellent product that gives peace of mind, now we have somewhere safe to store cash and valuebles. The instructions were clear and all the fitments were included even the batteries. I have been very pleased with my Yale Certified Safe which I purchased for home use. It arrived in good, protective packaging and in perfect condition. Installation was straight forward and I liked the fact that I could mount the safe to the floor or to the wall as it had holes for both. In my case I did both for extra security! The safe was easy to install.

The instructions were minimal and relied heavily on pictures in the way of lots of product instructions these days which try to cover many languages. However, they worked fine and I quickly had the safe set-up with my own security codes. The safe is relatively small but I knew that when I ordered it and it has been just fine for my use. It is big enough in area (front to back and side to side) to take an A4 sized document folder and the height can be divided with a removable shelf with a good amount of space both top and bottom.

The Yale Certified Safe which was purchased back in November 2014 has proven to be a very good buy. We chose this product primarily for the extra security bolts which were a feature that we considered to be most important to us over and above storage capacity and in some respects cost. We felt that the price was very competitive for the build quality of the safe. The safe has now been installed and it is quick and easy to use when retrieving important documents and memory sticks. We would recommend this product to anyone considering buying a safe in the near future.

First of all the safe was delivered very fast by courier, on first inspection was a well packaged outer box, then the actual product box inside.

Overall weight is good 16 kg if I recall.

Instructions were easy to put into practice nice and easy, batteries supplied with the safe makes life easier for the electronic opening and closing of the safe.

There are two keys incase the batteries run out, logical thinking excellent although the key cover could be made of stronger material.

The locking bolts supplied come in handy for bolting to surfaces such as floors, walls and even wardrobes, making the unit even more safe, depending on location.

The overall appearance one really enjoys the most, sleek stylish and fits in anywhere, with a built in interior light should one prefer to open the safe in privacy in the dark, with an option not to display numeric keypad touches incase anyone is overlooking and can turn off key pressing noise.

On use of this particular safe, one finds it very easy, quick to use and practical for my needs.

I would have liked a fire proof envelope thrown in though as this safe is not fireproof, still very pleased with my long term purchase though.

Unfortunately the lights inside of the box are damaged and only connected to a loose wire moving around.. As the box is too heavy I can not even return it for the faulty lights. Also it's smaller than I expected.

I purchased this safe after owning and using several different types and styles of safe in the past. The key feature/benefit for me were the official security rating coupled with the name, Yale are market leaders and a name you can trust. The safe does exactly as described, we have the safe securely fitted into a dark hiding place in the house making it difficult for marauders to find in the first instance; being in a dark area the display lighting is essential and works very well, the LED light on the inside is fantastic too, you can very easily see what you have inside. Configuring and changing the code is simple and opening/closing actions slick and reliable. Internal space is sufficient for our needs we just use it for private legal documents, passports, cash and a medium size SLR camera when not in use. I would definitely recommend this product to those who want a discrete (possibly hidden) safe store.

We are very pleased with our yale safe. Compared to other products that we looked at this one is proving to be very good value for money.

The fitting instructions are very clear and easy to follow, it also has plenty of options on variations of fitting positions.

The build quality is in my opinion second to none made from very strong heavy duty materials.

This yale product is very deceiving in size, it has a very handy shelf to make two compartments,we have found it is ideal for everything that we required of it and more,it also comes with a internal light that automatically comes on when the door opens, and this all comes as standard.

The security of this yale product is also very good,it has double security with a secret number as well as a key.

The safe appears robust and well made and the finish, in dark grey, is neutral enough to fit into most surroundings although in most instances this will be a hidden location. It is ideal for storing small items such as jewellery, passports, tablets, documents such as wills, but is also spacious enough to hold a small laptop.

Some reviews criticised the instructions for not being clear enough but I disagree and found setting the safe up with a code quite straight-forward. It is important to remember that the two over-ride keys supplied can be a security risk unless they are deposited in a safe place preferably at another location.

Fixing is made easy by having prepared bolt holes in both the base and back of the safe. Use both for maximum security.

All in all a good investment for the average home.

Ideal for storing valuables form an average to large sized home. Great for keeping passports, driving licences, credit card, tickets & jewelry in 'just in case'. Easy to mount with solid bolts. Not the cheapest on the market but probably worth the extra. Best price by far from The Safe Shop as well as speedy delivery. Great to have an interior light on when opening the door too. Our old safe did not have this feature and it does make a useful difference. having transferred our valuables from the smaller unit there is still room to spare in this one for the future. Great value.

I wanted a safe small enough to hide away but big enough to hold a4 documents and other valuables. It had to have anchor points to wall and floor. It had to be certificated for insurance purposes. Then I had to find a good price from a reputable seller.

So after much research, I setttled on this model. Delivered promptly and in perfect condition (couriers like to drop heavier items!) this safe exceeded my expectations. Lined in era to protect content. Illumination on opening. Easy to program with battery warning and key override.

We decided we needed a safe and this one does the job nicely. The first consideration was the make and clearly Yale is a well known security firm. The next was security status and the safe chosen had to offer a security status commensurate with the possible amount of money and valuables to be stored. The next was size and Yale offered a good choice. The size we chose was big enough to take documents, but small enough so as not to be obtrusive. Finally, display and keypad were important. The ones on this safe are very clear. Thank you.

A great product!

I always conduct an extensive search on line to find the best possible price before I purchase items. I searched everywhere and this was the best price available anywhere.

I found the customer service to be excellent and very honest, which I really appreciated. as I hate a pushy sales pitch.

This is a very sleek and modern looking product that does the job and importantly, is accepted by our insurance company for our home contents insurance. The safe is small enough to fit in discreet places, but yet large enough to hold what we need it to.

We use the safe in our back office as somewhere for us to hold small amounts of change that the staff may need for the tills, without them having the need to access our main safe.We find it excellent for this purpose.

It is compact yet has enough capacity for our needs, it is very robust and is easily fixed in position.

The set-up of the code was very easy and the internal light is a welcome added bonus especially as the safe is in an out of the way position and we can see what is inside very easily.

I would definitely recommend this safe for the purpose for which we use it.

This is a good quality good capacity personal safe that does everything I need. It was easy to install and the provision of floor and wall securing points (bolt holes) is great. The opening/closing process is however not very intuitive and whilst the instructions are clear you really have think about how to open/close it if you haven't used it for a while.

The Yale safe is great it looks good works well and has a good size internal space its lined with a soft black sprayed on coating the LED light is very useful but it dos switch off fairly quickly to save battery life and the battery s come with it ,but you can switch it back on if you required.

some reviews said the fixings were not up to the job, I feel they may not understand the way the fixings work. I used them to fix to a brick wall and they were easy to use and very strong.

It comes with two keys should you forget the combination or the battery s go flat (rated at over a year) all in all I feel much happier with this bolted to my wall and my passport and all that stuff in it. my conclusion is its a good safe.

We were burgled and this is like shuting the gate afterwards. Bought this safe for money and jewellery really rather than larger items. Its fine for that don't think a laptop would fit but ipad probably would. Its easy to use and easy for follow the instructions for setting the code. Ready drilled for fastening to the floor or walls as well. Down side,none really except perhaps the size if you want to put larger items in it. For camera, ipods, money, passports etc its fine. The delivery was brilliant from the company too. within a couple of days and no hassle.

I bought 2 safes as presents and both people have told me that it is a great safe, very easy to use and gives them peace of mind that very thing is safe and secure in it.

They both like the features that it has, an internal light which can be turned on when it goes off just by pressing a button. You can hide the passcode by pressing 2 buttons and you can disable the sound by pressing 2 buttons.

They are very happy with the build quality and the ease to use. They have both asked me where I got it from as they will recommend the safe and the safe shop to their friends and family

Delivery of the safe was prompt and on time. The packaging was good. The fitting setting up and use instructions were clear and very easy to understand. I was very pleased that the safe had four pre-drilled holes on the back and bottom for security bolts. The four bolts provided were adequate for a straightforward fitting on one of these planes but I secured mine on both front and back for added security. A would be thief would need to spend hours to remove the safe from its' location. The build and finish was excellent and I was really impressed with these aspects. Ease of use is another outstanding feature. Upon unlocking the safe automatically springs gently open and is illuminated on the interior. The safe is fully lined to protect any contents. I have fitted plastic bolt head covers to further enhance this feature. This is a serious piece of kit!

The safe was delivered on time, instruction for installation were quite clear. The operating instruction were not however clear and I could not lock the safe just using the instructions. I telephoned the help line and was assisted by a very helpful member of staff who was able to talk me through the setup procedure. By following his directions I was able to activate the system and enter my code. I experienced no further problems in this respect.

Unlike my previous safe the current one has an internal light and I find this feature extremely useful as it facilitates locating documents etc without having to use a torch.

This product is good value for money. I believe it is of decent quality given that it is heavy and the door is tick. The opening of the door is simple and the keys provide extra security. So far the door has always opened with no problem and setting the combination is an easy process. I like the light that automatically switches on when opening the door and also the quality of the interiors. This product comes with two big screws so that you can install the safe on a wall. The installation is relatively easy but it is better if done by two people.

Great piece of kit that looks the part as well as looking after your valuables. I watched the you tube video of someone trying to break into it with no luck which convinced me it must be good. Installation was taken care of by my father-in-law as I wouldn't know where to start, so I can't comment too much on that, but he did buy some up-rated wall anchors rather than using the stock ones thar are supplied as he felt they were not necessarily up-to-the job. This was only an additional fiver down the DIY store so no big issue. Great product!

It is neat and robust. The capacity is sufficient for most people and contains everything we need with ease. The inside light is very useful as the safe is concealed in the rear of a dark cupboard. The use of the combination lock took a little getting used to but after a few moments of frustration we now find it simple and easy. I particularly like the length of code that can be used as it makes it far more difficult for anyone to work out or guess. I found the supplied fittings to be inadequate and only suitable for concrete. Most modern houses have plasterboard over soft block for the inner skin of even outside walls. This requires a much much longer wall bolt to be successful.

Bought this safe as I needed some security as I am away from home on business a fair bit..Initially had a few issues understanding the "if you open it with a key then you have to lock it with a key" concept and the same if you open with the combination but since then all been fantastic. It is large enough to get all of my valuables in it as well as important documents that I no longer have to try and remember where I put them! All in all a pretty good purchase for me so far and am very pleased with it.

Thanks to the Safe Shop excellent value for money (would have cost four times the amount a few years ago) and build quality is very good.

Dual locking (keypad and override manual key) is excellent feature as is internal illumination - necessary if installed in a relatively obscure place. Fixing is straightforward but helpful if you have some experience of installing the smooth sided type of anchor bolts - supplied with the safe. The set up instructions are clear and detailed so recommend read through a couple of times.

Overall an excellent well priced product that more than does the job and delivery by Safe Shop supplied was trouble free.

This safe is ideal for our use. There is more space inside than I imagined. Great for iPads, camera, passports, money, jewellery all at the same time! It is small enough to be discreetly hidden but big enough for essentials. This one is not fireproof apparently but it seems quite thick & secure. This is the second safe I have bought from this site. The first one was for a laptop & was great too. It was so secure in the floor that when we sold the house we decided to leave it cus it would be so hard to get out.

I purchased 2 of these items over a 2 month period.

The first I bought was another model - it was faulty and not up to the quality of the Yale item.

I was able to return the faulty unit at no cost to myself and purchase an additional Yale unit. They were presents for my 2 sons who were extremely pleased with my ingenuity, claiming they had no thought of owning ,or acquiring such an item.

The quality is superb, so much so that I have requested, via my wife, they reciprocate and buy one for my birthday - I wait with baited breath.

The product is satisfactory for the purposes I required to improve security of documents and small articles at home, in compliance with insurance company condition. The instructions for digital keypad setup are not clear and sufficiently comprehensive for easy initiation and should, in my opinion, be revised. A good buy generally.

I had been looking around for a home safe for quite a while for valuables, as I already have an A4 fireproof document safe for paperwork.

This is a good size safe for personal belongings - camera's, passports, jewellery etc. Most of the small safes have mounting holes either at the back of the safe or the bottom of the safe. I have a situation where for better security, I wanted to find a safe that would allow me to mount it to brickwork at the back, and the floor as well. So with it being a good size and 8 mounting holes, this clinched it for me. I also took into consideration that if I bought a bigger safe, I would be unable to lift it to where I needed.

This was a very good purchase from my perspective. The safe arrived promptly and was packaged well. The price seemed fair for the quality of the product.

The instructions were OK, but coul dbe clearer. Setting a pass word and then opening the safe is easy. The only issue we found is that the combination of buttons to press, whilst simple, is not intuitive. However that is a small point and overall it is an excellent product that a would whole heartedly recommend to any body who wishes to have a high quality and spacious safe. The bolts to secure the safe to the floor or the wall are also very high quality, and the colour scheme also gives an indication of a high quality product.

It was great value, it was bought for my elderly father who has no problem in working it, it also gave him and the rest of the family the peace of mind in knowing his valuables were safely locked away. The interior light is of great use to him and the operating buttons are just the right size all in all a great product and would recommend it to anyone who needs a secure place to keep their valuables.

Great safe. Can take A4 documents in folders without bending them. Not too high so it doesn't take up too much space at the bottom of a cupboard. It has a shelf to divide contents which makes access easier and the light is helpful.

Unfortunately the bolts supplied are far too short. The steel back-face is set in by 10/15mm, so once you have drilled through plaster and into the brick/ block wall there is not much of the bolt left to gain a strong purchase in the wall. It would be nice to have caps to cover the bolt heads just to give it the final finish.

Having moved into a property which had very little security, we decided that we needed a safe as well as an alarm system. Having reviewed a number of options on line, we selected this product as the one which appeared to give security without excessive cost.

When it arrived, I was startled by the weight and had to rethink where to install it. I had intended to have it 'hanging free' on a wall in the basement. Instead, I have installed it in a fitted wardrobe in the second bedroom, where it sits on the 'chest of drawers' internal fitting. My wife, who is not a 'techie', finds it easy to use. With the four 'expander' bolts fitted into the wall at the back of the wardrobe, and the weight of the safe, a friend and I were unable to gain sufficient purchase to even rock the safe - I guess a JCB might win!

We are delighted with our purchase and, for jewellery and passports etc it is a perfect size.

This safe was purchased to comply with insurance requirements. Build quality is very good, with reasonable storage. It is large enough to hold an iPad and DSLR camera as well as cash, jewelry etc.The internal light is helpful, but it would be useful if it remained on for about 5 seconds longer. I fixed it to a brick wall myself and even though I am experienced in DIY it was a little problematic securing the retaining bolts with standard spanners because of the internal dimensions. In saying that it is a good size for use inside a wardrobe . A ratchet tool would make securing it simpler. Taking into account the insurance rating I think the safe is reasonable priced

This is a great product. The safe itself is obviously immensely strong and looks very smart - it has a great modern blue back-lit display and the control panel has a brushed metal finish. Opening and closing is simple and interior lights pop on when the door is open. The safe also beeps one sound for open and another when closed. The inside is covered in a soft material so all your valuables can sit inside without being scratched. Bolt this thing to the wall and/or floor and its going no-where...fantastic!

Safe is exactly what we looked for and the site said it was. Installation was easy and all that was required was provided. Delivery was quick and efficient. Appropriate warnings about weight etc - excellent health and safety procedures - were evident on the literature etc. Inside of the safe was well finished with the felt around the shelf as well as the inside of the safe. Light that comes on when door is opened has been found to be very useful ! Would recommend this safe to anyone wanting a small but decent storage size safe, inside is not all taken up by the door ineer. Well worth it.

Shelf is very useful. Although quite heavy the safe is light enogh that it can be moved easily to the place you want to install it. The opening is not quite big enough to slide A4 documents in directly. Some wiggling is required, which is not easy if it is anchored on the floor.

Very well built and very secure, easy to fit with the provided anchor bolts and easy to operate once I had some further instructions sent me. The included instructions were not very clear and certainly not comprehensive, after ringing and talking to "Steve", and receiving a different instruction leaflet, all went well and I am more than delighted with the ease of use. This is an anti-theft safe with excellent in-built quality. It is made of solid thick metal and weighs over 16 kg. I have had it for a few months and find it to be perfectly suited to our family needs. It was delivered in non-descript packaging. It was easy to mount following the instructions. It is quite easy to operate either by using a digital code or by using the keys that come with the safe. I find it useful that the safe has a battery fed light inside. The storage capacity is good and allows to keep A4 documents. My only recommendation to the manufacturers of the safe is that the keys are a bit smaller and would be easier to keep out of view.

When we purchased the Safe, we were immediately impressed with the build quality. It's a heavy item, so wouldn't be easily carried should it be prised away from how it is secured. The door, again being heavy, is finely balanced though, and takes no effort to open and close. The retaining bars are also substantial, and there is no way i could see the door ever being prised open. The safe has double security with an electronic keypad and a master lock, and you are supplied with three keys. Its ideal for what we use, ipads, phones passports etc and would recommend.

The product does exactly as it states. Its a very tidy and stylish product and I like some of the features. In particular the light that is on for a reasonable period of time but which can easily be reactivated when needed. As I've position my safe in the back of a deep cupboard this is very useful.

The ordering and delivery of the product was excellent. The only downside were the instructions that came with it were not too clear. However, they are all available on-line so I just googled the make of the safe and very clear instructions were received.

Before purchasing I did some research on safe products, feedback and costs and found that this was a reliable product which received good feedback and was also at a good price.

We needed a safe and for insurance purposes it had to fit certain criteria. We checked the safe.co.uk website which we found very easy to navigate and quickly found what we were looking for. We also rang Safe to verify that the safe details were as per the website. This was great as staff were helpful friendly and knowledgable. Having established that the safe was exactly what we wanted we paid and it arrived by courier two days later. The safe is strong easy to fit and operate and suits our needs perfectly. It comes with all necessary fittings and instructions for self fitting and if in doubt there is a fitting video on the website. REMEMBER if your buying a safe ensure what you are buying and how you are fitting it complies with the terms and conditions of your insurance policy and if in doubt confirm this with Safe and your insurance company.

After an initial problem with our first order (we think the safe was dropped) we were happy to receive this one.Following the instructions provided it was very easy to set up and change the user code.The digital key pad is very clear and simple to use.The door has a smooth opening action and the interior is fairly roomy and has a light which is run off a battery.The whole thing feels very solid and is certainly very heavy but small enough to be hidden away.

We like the fact that it comes with an override key which could be used if the need arises.

Good value for money for personal use

There was a bit of a delay in receiving the safe but it was worth the wait. It is just the right size: big enough to accommodate cameras etc but not too big as to be difficult to place in a cupboard.

Installation was straight forward. My only moan about it is that when I press the button to lock it it doesn't always lock first time and I have to have several attempts. It could be that I am not doing it correctly I suppose.

The safe was received promptly and packaged well.

The instructions for fixing were clear and the fixings worked even in our soft brick.

The instructions supplied for working the safe were ok though it took me a couple of tries to get the correct sequence for setting up the pass code and operating the safe. Once used to the process it is easy and quick to operate.

A small criticism is that the light does not stay on for long enough to sort through and find items. Another 10 seconds before it automatically goes out would have been good.

Overall very pleased, it is compact and fits snugly and discreetly in a corner.

The safe is made with good quality materials and has a great finish both internally and externally.

Operation of the safe is simple with a very easy to use keypad. Battery installation for the keypad was straight forward.

The safe is not too heavy to lift and relatively easy to manoeuvre, without straining any muscles.

Before purchasing my only concern was its fire rating however I concluded this was a small risk.

Only negative point was regarding the fixing bolts supplied with the safe. No drill hole diameter was given and so I had to estimate the required diameter. Only managed to install two out of the four fixings as the inserts crumpled when installing. Probably should have had a slightly bigger fixing hole diameter.

Despite the fixing bolt issue I couldn't be more pleased with the safe.

All in all it's Ideal for home use with adequate storage for our needs.

I wanted a good strong home safe rather than a glorified strong box but was limited for space to site it. I also wanted a safe from a recognised manufacturer. After much research I decided on the Yale Certified home safe and I am glad that I did. I found that securing the safe in my chosen location was relatively simple using the supplied fixings but I had to buy four extra as I have used both the back and base mounting holes for extra security. The supplied instructions regarding setting up the access code are a touch confusing but easy to follow video instructions are easily found online. It really is very simple to do. The door is reasuringly weighty with very strong automatic locking bolts. I find the interior light feature very handy and there is plenty of room inside to store jewelry, cash, passports etc plus documents upto A4 size. The two supplied manual overide keys are well made and feel very sturdy. Overall I am very pleased with this safe and I am happy to endorsed it.

Well built electronic combination safe with additional key access for added security. I found the safe size perfect for storing all my valuable items and very discreet. Finish was of a good quality and for added security 4 raw bolts were supplied to allow this safe to be fitted securely to the wall or floor, a must if you wish you valuables to covered under you home insurance. Cash rating of £2000.00. The electronic lock allows you to choose an 8 digit security code, the key allows you to over ride this should you forget your security code. Key access is hidden behind the Yale symbol. Overall a good value safe at a reasonable price.

I bought this safe to store basic personal documents and some jewellery items. It arrived quickly and we'll packaged and is extremely robust. Fitting is easily achievable for someone with basic DIY skills as long as the basic instructions are followed. I had it sorted in 20 minutes.

The programming of the keypad was nice and easy and any code up to 8 digits can be used. The actual operation of the safe is also very user friendly.

The safe itself is lined inside so not bare metal shelves which is good and the internal light makes looking for your valuables much easier!

All in all an excellent product plus I got a reduction in my household insurance when I told them what I'd done.

I am writing this after having received a replacement safe for my original which went through a set of batteries about every week. The original was very easy to fit, all be it with little bit of patience and elbow grease, with the wall screws provided. It looks and feels solid, and the keypad is easy to set up and to use. The two over-ride keys are an obvious necessity. After only a week however the "Lo-battery" sign came on, and in a month I've been through 4 sets of batteries. However, this appears to be an isolated fault and the customer service at Safe.co.uk have been very good, and without any issues they have sent a replacement, collecting the old one. It was easy to replace the safe. Good service from Safe.co.uk

The installation of the safe was very straightforward and operation of the safe on a day to day basis is very easy. However, I am very disappointed by the need to replace the 4 AA batteries about every other week. This results in me having to liberate the key from its secure hiding place in order to get into the safe and change the batteries. I assume that this is a fault but having bolted it to the wall can not raise the enthusiasm to remove it and post it (ha, ha!) back to the manufacturer.

Does what it says on the tin - compact, easy to install, easy to setup, convenient to use. I was able to get it set up and my stuff locked away in 30 minutes including fastening to a fixed wall. The keypad and digital display are easy to use. The safe is built well and feels sturdy and solid. Best of all, I felt that the price paid for this safe was very reasonable. The safe is a good all rounder for the price paid and I would gladly recommend it to anyone in the market for a simple and convenient secure place for valuables in the home.

The safe arrived on time by the specified courier, it was packaged well without any damaged, installing the safe was easy with the bolts supplied, you do need a certain level of DIY skills to install the safe though, overall a good product, build quality & finish was good, the instructions need a bit of studying on how to lock & open the safe when you use it for the first time, having an eight digit locking combination seems like a very good security feature, you can feel confident the safe could not be opened by the average house burglar, providing you have secured it properly to the wall or floor.

I looked at several products before I chose this model of safe. I wanted something that was secure combined with ease of use plus a safe that would meet insurance requirements. This model Yale safe met all my criteria as expected with no snags or issues. Previous reviews also helped me make an informed judgement on this safe.

The safe looks good and I particularly like the cover for the key hole. However the operational description on how to input a code is poor, it is not clear and could be improved. I still have not managed to get the code to work so I still have to use the key!!

I was looking for a safe for the house that would be small enough to be able to be tucked away in a storage area but large enough to accommodate valuables. This safe ticks both boxes so I would recommend it.

In addition, the light inside the safe is very bright and useful to find smaller objects.

The felt lining allows for a clean look and is a good colour for contrast with items in safe.

Lastly, the security with the electronic pin / combination and backup key feels very secure. The batteries have lasted very well and they come with the safe.

I did some basic google research which compared price and specifications etc and came up with a shortlist of three. I then followed up this by speaking with a colleague who had the same model which they recommended.

The speed of delivery was exceptional arriving next day and to my relief the instructions for installation were well presented and a doddle to follow.

Securing the safe was a simple process with 8 easily accessed fixing holes inside the safe though I didn't use the bolts provided as they weren't suitable for the place I had selected.

The operation of the safe is straightforward and very similar to ones you would find in a hotel room. The inside of the safe is covered in a material so it feels and looks clean and there is a handy battery powered light that comes on so you can see your valuables.

We have an override key and digital code and are very happy with the purchase.

My three normal criteria are amply fulfilled by this product and by the company 'Safe with us': quality of the product and the advice and efficiency of the retailer. For an important purchase the price needs to be reasonable too, and in this case I was surprised by how inexpensive it was. I even wondered, after ordering, whether I might have been advised to buy a more expensive product but need not have worried: the safe has been in daily use and is clearly strong, well designed and manufactured. I followed the advice given for fixing, (removed plaster down to the brick wall making removal almost impossible) and bolted down securely with the provided bolts. I allowed an hour for this and that was ample time. I have already recommended this safe to friends and shall be fixing my daughter's soon.

The first safe arrived and was faulty (constant battery low error message), but I telephoned the Safe Co who were really helpful and after trying to rectify the fault over the phone without success, supplied a replacement straight away. Great friendly service - I would use this company again.

When choosing this safe, I had to determine WHERE the safe was going to be placed, and WHAT we would be putting inside it. The measurements and the potential space I had for it was measured prior to purchase and I also took into account the size needed with a little growth room should I need to add to the contents in the future. So I knew what size of Yale safe I needed and the Yale Certified Home Safe fitted our needs exactly. It now has secured in it, Jewelry, Documents and some spare cash which was lying around and needed to be secured.

On arrival of the safe which by the way arrived on time and as described in the text message sent to me on delivery day. I opened the package and read the instructions and noted that the bolts supplied were for a stone or concrete base, so I went to my local hardware store and purchased bolts for a wooden floor. Fitted and secured to the floor in minutes after following the clear instructions in the guide supplied. I am extremely pleased with the Yale Certified Home Safe. The safe works by either Keypad or Key and the instructions supplied explain clearly all you need to know. The whole family are now experts on opening and closing the safe and Her Majesty has easy access to her jewelry ensuring that what is not being worn is in safe custody. Just one of the excellent reasons we bought this home safe to protect our valuables. Burglars are opportunistic criminals, usually, they just jump at the opportunity of grabbing every valuable in sight. I was looking for a product which would be spacious enough inside to put different items in it and yet small enough to be easily stored. For instance it fits under a bed. Both its size and its weight enables one to carry it in a big carrier bag if one is moving places. Furthermore there is closure system with a code but it provides also a key in case someone forgets about this code. For people who become elderly and lose their memory this is a useful detail. In addition there is a light which switches itself on to see the items which have been stored. This means that one can store one's safe in a place which does not have electricity. All you need is a torch light to put the code in. Once open the light comes on.

This safe is perfect in many ways. A nice size to neatly fit into a place convenient for use, it is easy to use and operate, both locking and opening, a decent weight and size to move around too. Storage space is ideal with a shelf inside for smaller items. Would definately recommend to buy. A nice digital display when in use and makes a sound when opening and closing door. The code is very easy to set and if you forget code there are two overuse keys for use. Perfect for a small business user would certainly buy again without hesitation.

The Yale safe is easy to use compact to fit any reasonable space could improve the internal light fitting at this tends to fall off when opening the door if you are not careful. I feel more confident with leaving any valuables in the safe.

Operation of the safe is very easy and installation straight forward with the supplied fittings. I chose to fit mine in a built-in wardrobe on a shelf about 3ft from floor level and anchor it to the back brick wall for ease of access. Build quality and value for money are great, the shelf plus internal light are excellent and useful extras. Overall I would recommend this safe to anyone who just wants that little extra peace of mind about the normal important documents /special things that we have/leave at home.

I fitted my safe in about half an hour, just four holes to dill. All fixings were included although I needed a socket set to screw the bolts in, but no problem. The instructions to set the code were easy to read and perform and we now feel much happier when we are out or on holiday that our bits and pieces are safe. I have always thought of Yale as a leader in security and I am well pleased with my choice. Well made, strong and easy to use, I have already told several of my friends to buy one.

Hi this safe is perfect very solid. I never did review before but I think it's gud thing to do people can b aware of this that thing they going to buy is gud or no gud. I bot this safe it's ok not very big or very small. It's lovely very solid. I love this. It's just my little thing that I can store everything. U know. Safe came in good strong packaging, with clear instructions on how to fix it. It was delivered within a few days of ordering so the overall process was simple, straightforward and quick.

I view safe's such as this a mild deterrent to any thief who has gained access to my property. If they knew what they were doing and were sufficiently motivated it is a few moment work to break into them and steal the contents.

The interior light is a good idea and helps as mostly safes are not put in light and airy places - as indeed mine is not.

So if you want a safe for a house this one is probably fine.

The safe is well made, solid and attractive, if that helps for those of you that take such things into consideration. In the location I was hoping to fit it, it went in neatly without having to reorganise everything else around. Operation was very easy and installation was straight forward with the fittings supplied. The addition of a shelf utilises space efficiently without piling items on top of one another. As with all things that you have to give consideration to size (should you have bought the next size up greenhouse or shed?) I might find that the next size up would have been better, only time will tell but I can say that the price could not be better when I made my purchase.

This model is smart looking with a nice build quality so very satisfying to use in particular the way the door closes.If this were a car it would be a Mercedes.The number keys are a little small so I would recommend installing this safe as close to eye level as possible otherwise it can be a bit tricky- so not for the short sighted.The interior cool blue light adds to the luxury feel of this product in fact the whole feel and appearance of the safe inspires confidence and a good feeling of security.The product was on offer when I bought it but even if it hadn't been i would say this is very good value for money.

I’m very happy with my purchase of a Yale Certified Safe Home. It was straightforward to instal and once it was in position it felt very strong and secure. It is divided inside by a horizontal shelf, so it has enough room for folders of A4 documents on one level and for valuables, keys and items like passports on the other. It was simple to set up the user code and it is quick and easy to open (two key strokes plus the code) and to close it (also two key strokes). I have no complaints at all, and the safe was excellent value.

Good quality safe and simple to use and install. Fittings for wall and floor anchoring. I liked the way it requires the code to open the safe and is more secure than other keycode safes with a manual twist lever. These other safes can be easily opened with a sharp knock to giggle the lock. The Yale safe appears not to have this flaw. Safe also comes with two keys in addition, which are a good backup in case of battery failure. Overall a good quality product that does what it says on the tin and was delivered very promptly.

Having recently moved we required a similar safe to our previous one. This one has more than fulfilled our requirements and indeed is easier to use than before.

Could not believe the weight of it. An extremely solid bit of kit. The fitting instructions were easy to understand and it only took about 40 minutes to secure it to a wall. Its capacity is more than I expected with the centre mounted remove able shelf being very handy. The lock mechanism works very smoothly both with the key or on the digital buttons. The internal light is a nice touch. I am now seriously considering purchasing a second one. The price is also very competitive and with free delivery was much more convenient than struggling back from my local DIY shop with it. Can not recommend it highly enough.

I have considered buying a safe for some time but have been unsure of the quality of some of the cheaper ones on the market. I suppose my reason for taking the plunge and purchasing one was the availability of a Yale branded safe as Yale have a long history of quality security products particularly in this field. The safe is simple to set up and use, the spring loaded door opens automatically once the code is entered. the interior has a fabric type of lining which will not damage your delicate valuables and also has a interior light and two emergency over ride keys. Mine was delivered with a bolt missing but I was not bothered as I needed longer bolts due to the location that I was to fix it.

Overall I am very pleased with this safe and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Finally got around to purchasing a safe for keeping our valuables and personal documents such as passports, and birth/marriage certs etc.,

Looking around in the marketplace there were many different companies and models to choose from.

Our main reason for selecting this model is because it is made by 'Yale' who are a household and well respected company when it comes to security products.

On delivery we found it met the standard that we were looking for. The set-up and instructions provided for it's operation were comprehensive and simple to understand. There are pre-drilled holes in the safe for wall or floor mounting. The only downside was that we needed to purchase better quality fixings as those provided were not a decent quality.

This is a great little safe, it's a good size for a couple of bits of jewellery and we've put our passports in there too now. It's nicely lined inside and had key code and key for back up. I sometimes forget which key to press in which order before and after entering my code but there's only two buttons so it's quick enough to work it out (might remember if I opened the safe more often). The safe is a great price and satisfies our insurance companies requirements. You can bolt it to the floor but we put it on the wall and the bolts were so long my husband got carried away drilling and made a small hole into the next room! So check before you do that!

Easy to use. I like the eight digit security number. Closing the door is extremely easy. The internal light and the spring loaded door for opening is most useful.

The two key reserve is quite reassuring in the event of any failure of the batteries. There is ample storage room within the safe for documents, money and jewellery. I have mounted the safe within my office (not hidden) on top of a desk as I feel the safe is so secure. The wall bolts enclosed with the purchase are adequate and once installed mike a very secure fixing. In all the Yale looks quite neat in my office. This is the second Yale safe I have purchased as I am so confident with the security of this item.

Not fire resistant but solidly made and easy to use. It is only a single layer of metal but has a £2K cash rating so I guess overall it is better than you average £1K single skin one! Fixings are to botttom and back which gives flexibility. It isn't heavy so securing it is essential !! Not too expensive but good quality for what it costs.

I bought this product as I received a discount on my home insurance. I was a little dubious at first about installing it, but it was very easy, especially on a concrete floor. It is possible to put on a wooden floor, but you will need different screws/bolts.

The safe is deceptively large and holds all my valuables. It has a nice soft interior, which gives it a professional finish.

Setting up was a breeze, easy to input your own code number. You're also supplied with two metal keys in case you forget the code or the batteries run out.

Hi, I can't fault this little safe, it is so easy to install and use, it is very strong and secure with soft interior lining and has a removable shelf too. it has an 8 digit code and also has interior LED Lights which make it easy to see what you are looking for. it can be fitted to the wall or floor, can't think of much more to say about it but it is a great little safe for all your valuables and important papers you might want to keep safe. I would recommend it too everybody that I know.. it great for me and that's all that matters really. Thank Yale for a great safe :)

This is a true 'on-line' customer journey. The safe chosen following a basic web search, which was backed up by honest and useful customer reviews. Selection was made easy by excellent videos accurately describing the safes. When chosen purchase, which was over the Christmas period was smooth and easy.

The safe arrived exactly (to the minute) on time and was even carried into our home by the delivery driver who was polite and cheerful.

Fitting was so simple and very easy to set up. I did have a small question, which was quickly addressed by a 'real' person who had an in-depth knowledge about the product.

The instructions for the safe were not clear, it took two of us a good 20 minutes to work it out. However you will get there in the end and it easy when you know how.

The safe was damaged on arrival, the paintwork was scraped, but I think that was probably due to bad handling at the factory and it was not down to build quality. Also it will be hidden away so matters not.

There is plenty of storage capacity for household use.

The security insurance grading gives confidence should the worst happen.

It was nice to get the Yale safe at a price below recommended retail price.

Was looking for a compact safe with electronic keypad. The Yale was a generous size internally compared to other make/models at a similar price range. It isn't fireproof but not a feature I needed. It comes well packed and delivery was efficient, I was out and it was left in a safe place (excuse the pun). The instruction manual was basic but easy to figure out. It comes with 2 override keys also. There is a removable (but not adjustable) shelf which has a soft felt finish. The interior light sits on the hinge, looks led based (long battery/bulb life) and it spreads the light fairly well into the whole safe, really good feature if the safe is in a dark hidden corner. Very pleased overall.

The safe is extremely easy to order and it was delivered promptly and well packaged. It is robust and well constructed. The ability to easily remove the door helped a lot when fixing the safe in position. The internal light is a real bonus. I have anchored the safe to a brick wall within a wardrobe fitment and on top of a chest unit to help with ease of use on a day to day basis.

The back up key locking facility provides added peace of mind. I have no hesitation in recommending this safe and I believe it represents excellent value for money

A value for money safe, good for household use being easy to fix and can be hidden under small places.

We are very pleased with our new safe and now feel that our valuables are safe. It is easy to set and to open, we quickly became familiar with the settings. I like the way you can see the contents easily when it is opened as the light inside is on when the safe is opened. It is also very simple to close and that means it is never left open. It seems strong and well made and could not easily be moved. We have it bolted to the floor and it could not quickly be removed. It is large enough for our needs and we are very pleased with our choice of home safe.

I would recommend this safe to anyone who is looking for an easy to use and sturdy security safe. It is a good size, able to hold both smaller jewellery items, important documents and cash if needed. Installation was very easy and the instructions for set up were also very quick and simple. The only drawback that I can think of is that it is heavy (but I understand this is as it should be) so if you are installing on a wall, it will need to be rested on top of something, but I would recommend installing on the floor for security and safety.

- Holds items easily as it is a good size (the shelf also is very good)

- Very heavy so must install in suitable location (and plan this before buying)

The safe is solid compact and easy to fit. The bolts supplied are the correct size to secure the safe which meant I didn't have to go out and buy new ones. Storage is good and the additional shelf enables you to separate various contents within the safe. Nice colour of illumination and and the sound adds a nice touch when opening the safe. Even the batteries are supplied (which is not usual when buying products that need them) which meant that as soon as the safe was secured you could start using it straight away. The only negative point is that one of the digits did not work from the start.

Rather than go to all the hassle of returning the safe I have got along by not using that number in my security code. Overall a good little safe.

This covers all the items that we, as a normal household need to store securely. It is large enough to get our laptop in, along with other valuable items.

Installation was really quite simple and there are a number of securing areas to ensure that once in place, the safe is not going to be moved. The override keys do help to give us peace of mind in case we forget the code!

Overall, as the first safe we've purchased and as it is for domestic rather than business use, I would say that this has been as a solid purchase. I would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting some security for their valuable items.

Just brilliant

This safe was purchased for private use. The safe is a weighty item and comes with bolts to bolt it to a wall or floor. I have yet to do this as I am in the process of moving house. The internal light does time out a little soon but it can be switched back on from the front switch panel. Setting up the combination was quite easy but I could not find any reference to an eight digit combination. The website and instructions spoke of a six digit type. The door hinges appear solid and hopefully very secure. I use it mainly for documents (passports etc.) but would be suitable for storing money.

Very good safe, easy to install (need a good drill), wall bolts may not be best but done the job in masonry.

Looks good and compact with fair amount of storage space for the size. Light is very handy to, not sure how to rate the security as I don't make a habit of trying to break in to safes nor have tried with this one.

I bought this safe on-line and unseen and was very happy with the outcome. The safe is heavy and strong and feels very fit for purpose. I was able to fix the base to a brick using internal strong bolts and feel that it will not easily be shifted.

The controls are intuitive to use and allow you to programme your own security code up to 8 digits long. Beware though, there is a default code which you also need to change!! The safe came with two over-ride keys in case of battery failure so I feel that there should be no risk of getting locked out of the safe. Storage is large and the shelf is removable. Even with the shelf in place the safe is large enough to accommodate everyhing I wish to store plus a full-sized iPad! And there is a light inside.

A well engineered product that is very well made. The instructions for use need to be rewritten to be clearer but otherwise a very good product.

Initially this safe was tricky to set up, but when I called the website, they were really helpful and together it took a minute to get my pin code set. Using it is very straightforward once this has been done.

The safe is very suitable for home use. It is fairly lightweight so it is fine for cash or jewellery, but not for very highly valuable items and not fireproof, but it does give a sense of security for smaller items.

The capacity is adequate, and the central shelf can easily be removed for storing larger items.

The Yale certified safe was quick to arrive . The price paid was really competitive (in fact it was the least expensive I saw after some research). After placing the order safe.co.uk had good communication and I was really happy with the service they offer.. The safe itself was easy to install (it came with all the bolts) .. I borrowed a friends SDS hammer drill, carefully marked out were the holes in the floor should be and before you know it the safe was anchored. For excellent service and a good choice of safes I would definstely recommend safe.co.uk. For piece of mind I am happy that all my important documents are together in a safe place.. :)

In my opinion, this is a very well made and easy to use Home Safe. Having an override key is also a good design feature. DIY fixing is fairly straightforward, however, the 4 special fixing bolts supplied with the safe could have been of a better quality/design. I found the whole bolt twisted in the holes rather than tightening right up - making them very difficult to remove and startover. I personally used 'Rawlbolts' instead and was able to fix both to the floor and the wall very securely.

Delivery of the safe was very quick, ordered on Friday and delivered on Saturday with a timed delivery slot.

Installation and setup was easy with clear instructions.

Safe is very sturdily built unlike some of the cheaper safes one sees which can be opened with a sharp tap (see youtube).

This safe is solid, well made, simple to use, and fairly easy to install. I did use heavier duty wall fixings that the ones supplied, although I suspect the supplied ones would have done a good job. I can't really fault it in any way, and would recommend this safe to anybody.

After doing some research looking at the many safes on the market as this was the first safe I have ever purchased I decided after reading the many reviews to purchase the Yale Home Safe from yourselves and was not dissapointed. I thought the product was extremely well made and described exactly as advertised and of excellent quality for the sum purchased. It was good to have the LED lighting inside with batteries, bolts and 2 keys and all instructions supplied which was very useful. The only downside was that the 4 bolts in my opinion did not secure the safe to the wall enough and I had to purchase 4 more bolts from a local DIY shop which were better quality which did the job as I wanted. This would not put me off of recommending this product.

The safe was delivered within a couple of days following the placing of the order. The packaging was more than adequate and well suited to the well being of the product. Although this was the first safe I had purchased for home use it was in my opinion of very good quality. The build quality of the safe is to a high standard and of robust constructed materials.

The installation bolts were included and the enclosed instructions easy to follow. The operating instructions however were not so straight forward but this was easily overcome as there was available other instructions available on the internet which are most informative.

The Yale Certified Home Safe is a solid safe and great for use in the home for regular householders.

This safe provides a solid and robust area in which to place items of value which householders may wish to protect.

The locking and unlocking system is clear and relatively easy to understand and operate. An override safe key is also provided for added user protection. This safe has a choice for fixing securely to, either a wall at the rear, or the floor as long as either have brick or solid surfaces (an explanation is given).

This safe has a useful shelf to enable better use of the interior space.

Overall, this is an excellent home safe.

I found the safe well packed delivered exactly as stated. The beauty of the safe is that you have spare keys if the code is forgotten, which is quite possible as you get older. The spare keys are kept off site so there is no chance of a lucky find. The safe itself is simple to use and was easily installed. would i recommend this safe yes just for the value for money aspect if nothing else.

I will say that the safe is easy to use and the instructions simple to understand. The only disadvantage I would say is that the bolts are not strong enough. My son fitted the safe with the supplied bolts but my husband could move the safe with his hands with not a lot of pressure applied. It might have been the floor type (tiles and concrete) but for peace of mind, we went and bought stronger bolts and the safe is now secured properly. After all, a safe needs to be secure to keep family heirlooms or important documents etc safe.

A compact safe, but adequate for home items and can just take A4 documents. Shelf is fixed position. Lightweight charcoal colour carpet/felt on interior surfaces.

Back &/or floor mounting useful options. (Used both).

Interior light nicely positioned at door hinge area shining into safe when door opened. Re-switch on with front button when timer has switched it off.

Door rattles when it is closed, making it feel a little insecure, but the bolts are well home and the safe actually correctly shut.

Back-up key useful. It will open the safe independently without needing the key code. (Need to obviously store the back-up key secretly elsewhere).

This Yale Certified Home Safe certainly does the job, and I would buy it again for a safe of that size.

Strong build, good quality finish and simple to use.

I found the product very easy to set up and install, the instructions for both setting up and installation were simplicity in itself. Not only is this product robust and practical it is also in general a product that looks good and gives you the sense of security that if something was to happen then your valuables would be safe and secure. it gives you peace of mind when you are away from your property that in the event a break-in occurred that it would be very difficult indeed for them to access your valuables or in the case they tried to remove the actual safe it would cause them a great deal of time and trouble. I would have gave the overall product 10 but I prefer perfect to superb , it is a product you can purchase with confidence I should know I have 2 now.

Easy to fit and strong and sturdy, not much space inside for A4 paperwork. But ideal for passports, jewellery and money. Fits well into our wardrobe. Would recommend this safe for the household.

Looks the part. Actual security not tested and hope will not be. It is large enough to hold items we wish to keep safe though the locking mechanism does intrude slightly on internal space. Useful to have the interna light feature when opening as room lights may not provide light to the interior. Reasonable protective covering on the inside surfaces. Only slight concern is the style of fixing bolts provided. I feel sure there are better options available. Fitting would be greatly helped if a template for drilling holes were provided. Overall a solid and secure looking safe that is very good value for money.

Some reviewers have suggested that the retaining bolts are ‘too short’, I disagree; I found both the length and diameter of the four bolts ideal for securing to a standard breeze block wall.

At about the same time that I bought my safe, my sister purchased a cheaper safe that was on offer from a certain German discount supermarket and made by another manufacturer. When she saw that mine had a felt lining, an interior light, an eight digit security code, as well as a better quality keypad she admitted that she’d made a big mistake by buying the cheaper alternative.

The safe arrives very well packaged and contains everything you need to install it securely, but the wall bolts might be a little sub-standard in some people's opinion - I bought some 'proper' ones from the DIY shop, but the ones supplied will be ok probably. The setting up instructions are slightly vague, but the safe is actually really easy to get up and running. From there on, it's a doddle to operate and there's no key to lose!! Brilliant!! The override key looks substantial, which suggests a lock that means business, as do the beefy dead bolts that secure the door. I honestly believe this little safe to be VERY secure. I can't see many people being capable of breaking into it, and certainly not your average toe-rag house burglar. So for the money there's huge piece of mind. Good insurance rating too.

The quality is also very good, but I did have an issue with the keypad. It didn't render the safe unusable, but it was mildly irritating as I had to repeat the code to open / close it. On one occasion I had to gain entry with the override key. For this reason, I have marked down the build quality slightly. However, the guys at The Safe Shop dealt with my problem extremely efficiently and with utmost courtesy. 5 star rating for you, many thanks!

This safe is an excellent size for storing household valuables such as iPad, cameras and keys, it's simple to use with the added peace of mind of having a key lock to open the safe should you have issues with the digital combo.

The insides are lined to prevent scratches to any items stored inside, the led lights are a useful addition given the lining is dark.

The safe comes supplied with anchor bolts, the only negative is that I wish the it came with a template to help locating drill points for securing.

Overall I have no issue recommending this safe, it's easy to use and offers plenty of space for my valuables.

This safe is perfect if you want a good quality safe without spending a huge amount. Build quality is really good and very easy to operate and fit.

Easy to fit, easy to use The shelf makes it a bit awkward to fit A4 envelopes in though. The safe fits in our under stairs cupboard really well & is as unobtrusive as it is possible to be. As it is fitted in such a small space I think that would be thieves would have a very hard time getting into it too.

Great value safe of good build quality. Excellent design with brushed metal front makes this safe look stylish and better than your average metal box. The electronic keypad saves having to look for a key every time you want to open the safe but in case you forget your code the safe does also come with a key. The safe has a nice felt lined interior with a shelf to make storing your valuables inside less messy. The interior light also helps when looking for things. It also comes with securing bolts to enable the safe to be fixed in position.

I've had this safe a couple of months now. It was easy to fit and appears to be quite secure. I wish it was slightly larger but it copes fairly well with all I want to put in it.

A robust product which appears very well made and secure. Capacity suits our purposes, and internal shelf is good for organisation of contents. Internal light is particularly helpful.

First class product and prompt service.

This was one of the less expensive safes with the rating that I needed. I like the fact it has a key, just in case you forget the code. It feels well made and secure - although it is pretty hard to really know how secure it is. The only two minor niggles I would have are that it may not be obvious to some that there is a 'backup' code which needs to be changed from the factory default to be secure and the process for entering the code requires a few more keypresses than seems necessary - one before and after you enter the code itself. Minor niggles though. I would buy this safe again.

Very good safe, easy to use and secure

Safe arrived shortly after being ordered and was easy to fit. Instructions provided were clear and follow up emails were efficient and to the point.

In terms of above 'ratings' hard to state security as that would involve someone trying to get into safe who is not authorised to do so. I hope this never happens.

Safe is easy to use and again the instructions are useful as regards this.

In terms of improvements, I did not find the 'how to enter' part of the instructions as user friendly as it could have been. A 'button by button' guide would be more helpful.

I am very happy with the product. It is important to be as secure as possible, even when you live in a small village.

Once the replacement safe arrived it was as per the advert. The only issue is that the instructions are poor. Almost indecipherable!
