My use of these is a little different to what the company designed them for. I live on the River Thames and own a 26 foot boat at the end of the garden which from time to time does flood. After having new wooden capping fitted I needed posts which will stop my boat from drifting onto the garden during high tides. I struggled to find posts which could be bolted down onto the capping and was long enough (over 700mm) to hold my boat off during those high tides. Safe have one of those the Autolok KFTB tall folding parking post. I purchase three and can I just say they are perfect. They allow me to fold them out of the way when do work on the boat. They are zinc coated so the water should not effect them, they are very strong and easy to use. For the money they are just perfect and maybe the company should consider another use for their product other than parking.

The Autolok KFTB Tall Folding Parking Post is constructed from 50 x 50mm hollow section steel. The fold down post is surface mounted and is secured using the PP50 high security brass padlock.

The post stands 1000mm above ground level when raised and is ideal for driveways and car parks.
