The Avocet ABS Ultimate 3 Star Euro Thumbturn Cylinder offers maximum security and is Kitemarked to TS007:2014 with a 3 star rating. This lock is Secured By Design, which is the official Police security initiative and is also tested by the Master Locksmith Association. This anti-snap cylinder includes a sacrificial snap section and includes 3 high security dimple keys.
TS007 3 Star Rating
The TS007 3 Star Rating is widely recognised as the highest security standard UK locks can conform to. TS007 3 star cylinders display the British Standard Kitemark and protect every form of attack including lock snapping and drilling. The British Standard Kitemark can help deter thieves. It's trusted worldwide and most insurance companies will insist your cylinders display it. Locks that display the Kitemark have been certified by the British Standards Institute (BSI), so you know that each product has been manufactured to a high standard.
High Security Keys
Each cylinder comes with 3 high security double sided keys, with smooth edges, and can be used any side up, making these cylinders easy to use. You will also receive a unique key card which allows you to Buy Spare Avocet ABS Keys later.
Sacrificial Snap
Lock snapping is the most common form of attack that a burglar will use to break in to your home. Anti-snap cylinders include a sacrificial snap line. When force is applied, the cylinder snaps at this 'weak point' but the actual mechanism stays intact. The sacrificial snap line must face the outside of your door.
Drill Protection
The ABS Ultimate 3 Star Cylinders include protection against lock drilling with 16 anti-drill pins, providing the ultimate resistance against forced attacks. Each lock is tested by the Master Locksmith Association's and has achieved the Sold Secure Diamond standard.
Secured By Design
The ABS Cylinder is also Secured by Design, which is the official Police preferred specification for door security. ABS locks feature advanced technology to combat lock snapping, picking, drilling and bumping.
