Burg Wachter 1600HB 170/280 Sold Secure Gold D Lock

I was recommended that I purchase a gold-standard lock for my bicycle, I liked this particular one because of the extra cord that can be thread through my wheels, while it is slightly heavy to carry around; I feel confident that my bicycle is in safe hands when I lock it up.

It arrived promptly, in time for our holiday, where it secured two bikes to our caravan when we not riding them. Following some advice on the web it was possible to align the bikes and the "U" shaped lock so that access to the locking bar and keyhole were difficult. I found the tightly coiled heavy duty cable hard to work with when fitting it through spoked wheels on the bike and the finger thickness gap behind the manoeuvring handles on the rear of the caravan. Once secured I was confident the lock could not easily be removed or broken.

We wanted a secure locks for our e-bikes and this brand ticks ✅ all the boxes. Easy to use and gives us the confidence to park our bikes more often knowing they are secure! Prior to purchasing the Safe Lock we would not of considered leaving them anywhere if we couldn’t see them!

It is sometimes difficult to open the lock, that is to remove the straight part from the U shaped part. It would be an advantage if there was some kind of indication whether the key was turned to the lock or unlock position. I'm not overly happy with it.
