We did some research on fire-safes and decided on the Phoenix Titan FS1304e because it was a suitable size and had a proper door. It is able to take A4 size documents in folders easily and was better than the one we already had that was nowhere near adequate for A4 and had an inconvenient lift-up lid. From reviews on various fire-safes we knew we needed to be careful setting our own passcode so, when it was delivered (well packaged and in first class condition) we noted down all the necessary actions and practiced - BEFORE closing the door! After about three goes, we got the code set and it worked fine. There were also some reviews mentioning condensation and it did have condensation when it arrived into our nice warm house from a very cold delivery van! We left it open for a few hours and it dried out as the temperature equalised. We have been using it since with no difficulties at all. We're very pleased with it. It was a good purchase, with good service. The reason for only 4 stars for security is merely because it is a firesafe and not an actual safe, although it would be very difficult to carry away (you can bolt it down but we haven't) and it would have to be cut open with an angle grinder to get into it! There is no reason why you couldn't store valuable items in it but I guess it is not quite so good as a safe intended for that purpose. For us it is just to protect our documents in the event of a fire and we have no complaints whatsoever.

The safe is very easy to set up and it can be bolted to the floor for extra security. It can take four lever arch files easily and there is a lot is capacity in the Jewett drawer. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend the safe to anyone who needs a home, fireproof safe with a decent capacity.
