Record each camera in 4K (8MP) resolution, then play back either on your SmartPhone or using the included HDMI cable attached to a compatible TV. (Also supports VGA output, cable not supplied.)
In addition to viewing from your TV it is easy to view recorded and real time footage from your SmartPhone or Tablet using the Swann Security App* available for iOS and Android.
Install is quick and easy - install the app, scan the QR code sticker on your CCTV system & start viewing.
* For remote viewing via SmartPhone this CCTV system requires a broadband internet connection with a router that includes one free wired network port. Compatible with Apple iOS and Android smartphones. Please check Smart Device App below for compatibility. We recommend downloading the app before purchase to check compatibility.
QuickShot lets you upload still images to your Dropbox account, allowing you to access snapshots from your security cameras online - even if your security system is stolen.
The 2TB hard drive is chosen especially for continuously recording months worth of video.
By using a USB memory stick or external hard drive you can backup recorded footage from the Hybrid DVR and transfer to other devices or pass on to others should the need arise.
Use our Recording Time Calculator to determine how many days storage you can expect from this 6 camera, 2TB hard drive, 4K CCTV system. If using motion detection we generally advise setting the most commonly used camera to 4 hours. We have set all other cameras to 2 hours as an estimate, but you can change this below to suit your needs.
* Based on using the default settings; system will begin to overwrite existing footage once storage is full.

I bought this system for my house with 6 cameras, 3 internal and 3 external. As with anything, preparation and planning is the key to a good job.
As I had done many jobs over the years, I knew how to run the cables securely and concealed. This required lifting carpets and floorboards and, running cables through the loft, drilling holes through joists and walls.
After the cable runs were completed and the cameras were fixed into position the DVR was sited and all the connections were made. The system was powered up and everything worked beautifully.
The default programming seemed to work quite well and met my needs with few alterations. However, when you start to get into the programming options it can be quite daunting if you want to make a lot of changes but I would say keep it simple and it will do everything you need.
The build quality appears to be really good. The cameras are neat and stylish and are unobtrusive. My 3 internal cameras are 1 bullet and 2 dome and you hardly notice them. The 3 external bullet cameras are located in the eaves (2) and 1 on a gable wall and also unobtrusive. The picture quality is very good along with a good field of view. The DVR is also silent in its operation.
The security of the system is protected by a password which allows you access to make changes to the programming for record timing of the cameras or any other changes you wish to make. The Swann App is also very good and allows you to monitor you cameras in real time from your smartphone.
I believe the setup I have is great value for money after researching other systems which cost substantially more and I would highly recommend a Swann system to anyone who wants a good CCTV setup.
