- The Swann DVR-5680 8 Channel Ultra HD 4K - 6 Camera Enforcer CCTV Kit with multi channel playback includes six True Detect heat sensing cameras, with motion activated 'Police-style' flashing red and blue lights to deter intruders. The weather resistant cameras are rated to IP66 with enhanced infrared LED night vision providing coloured video footage from up to 10m and a full night vision range of up to 40m. The system also includes a 2TB hard drive and has eight channels allowing for an additional two cameras to be added if required.
The PRO-4KRL cameras can be set to record continuously, at a set time or only when motion or heat is detected, providing more reliable notifications and recordings and making it much easier to view important footage, while at the same saving on hard disk space. I have owned this product for a month now and it is currently serving its purpose as a 24 hour surveillance for my property. I have found some issues with it so far. For example on 2 occasions now it had failed to record someone coming into my property but managed to record them coming out despite them being well within the motion detect area for recording with high sensitivity.
This may just be a hiccup in the system but it is important identify this flaw because anything can happen and God forbid one of the few times it fails to record something is the time something actually happens! I do not know if it’s a DVR or a camera issue but if someone who has owned the same product for a while or Swann sees this review they would like to tell me then that would be great!
Overall I’m abit on the fence with regards to recommending this product as this is the 1st CCTV system I have owned and I have come across the problem mentioned above.
The app is pretty good though.
