Bulldog CAT Auto Clamp

The wheel clamp is very quick and easy to fit. The product arrived on time and exactly as described. You also researched with the company to make sure that I had ordered the correct clamp for my wheel.

Once we discovered that you don't need the key to lock it like our previous Bulldog clamp it was very easy. Probably my fault for not reading the instructions properly.

Very Sturdy product. Good deterrent.

To get the best fit it has to be set on a smaller setting, which makes it difficult to get over the tyre, but without setting it up this tight, I feel you would be able to remove it if you was to let the tyre down first. However it does get easier to fit with practice.

This clamp is very easy to use. I like the fact that once you have unlocked it, you don't need to keep the key in, just depress the button to lock again. It is highly visible and a good deterrent. Although a bit heavy, not too heavy for us women to manoeuvre!

The button occasionally sticks - this is remedied by a quick squirt of WD40.

as part of the insurance stipulation for the keeping of my caravan is to have two elements of security I have used the Bulldog CAT auto clamp. The clamp is easy to fit and supplies me with the confidence to leave my caravan on any site while we are free to carry on with our holiday in the knowledge that it is safe and sound.

I would not hesitate to recommend the clamp to anyone who has a trailer or caravan that they wish to leave secure in times when the equipment is left alone. Also the clamp is suitable for all weathers.

I purchased this Bulldog Clamp to replace another one. Actually I wished to replace the previous clamp for a number of reasons.

1. So the item it was used on became mine i.e key change from previous owner.

2.The other clamp was just cheap rubbish compared to the Bulldog. Literally chalk and cheese . Browsing the web the cheap one is likely to be in the £25-£45.00 region depending on where you purchase it . It was flimsy press stud aluminium rivits and poor lock, thin metal , very poor quality.

3.Knowing I was going to dispose of the old one I actually set off with the clamp attached to the trailer. Guess what I was able to do so then , bend it off free. So no security what so ever.

The Bulldog is the real deal, solid , strong not made from Monkey metal.

Easy to fit , but does actual surround/encompass the wheel. Where it counts so I would expect is very difficult to get off. I have the one which covers the wheel Nuts. Guess what it does !

So much more substantial than the cheaper versions.

I would say if you pay less than £100 for this type of product you are buying the wrong thing.

I am very pleased with my clamp have used it many times (on and off ) without issue.

Hey hopefully they like this review , which is honest by the way. We keep it real and tell the truth in Yorkshire!

Perhaps they will discount a tow ball lock as I want to but a proper one of those next .

Again I think the sensible ,value for purpose one will be from Bull dog!

The service from safe shop was perfect

I prefer to call and ordering that way was simple and fine . Couldn't fault it !
