It feels very much like the cover is made from tin. I am sure the lock itself is made from good strong metal but it inspires very little confidence. It's supposed to be CEN3 level in security. I haven't used it and don't really want to. My old one is far better and much stronger - though the insurance company seems to insist this one is fine...if it is indeed CEN3??

Over the years we have tried various padlocks on the gate of our side alleyway. As we are in our eighties we needed a lock that we could easily use. We had a padlock needing a number code to open then forgot the number chosen. Using the key to open is ideal and it does securely lock to ensure safety.

The padlock is robust and very easy to use. It has a cover over the keyhole which is very useful to protect it from the elements.
