ABUS GRANIT 37/60 Closed Shackle High Security Padlock (2 pack)

I purchased 2 Abus Granit 37/60 closed shackle high security locks, keyed alike. The decision was an easy one owing to the fact that I had purchased a similar lock over 20 years ago which was still in use and functioning like the "Rolls Royce" of security locks that it was and still is.

My "Old Abus" is used every day without any problem, summer, winter, rain or shine. Occasionally, I do give the mechanism a drop of lubricating oil. So based on my previous 20 year old plus purchase I bought two more for my use. The first consideration is purely aesthetic. Lets face it the Abus lock just looks the business of security, and its sheer bulk superb construction educates all that see it, in that it is indeed making a strong statement. The statement is "I am an easily operated lock, built of a robust quality that exudes a high level of security. Considering these points commented on and a required level of security demanded, I consider Abus Granit Locks to be value for money, inaddition to gaining favourable Insurance premiums because of their use and reputation. Abus Granit is a Win all round security lock at the right price.

Does what it intended for , it keeps the casual intruders out.

They cannot snip this one if used in conjunction with a security hasp unit.

I do like the fact that my 4 locks have the same key configuration with the 8 keys it means that our greenkeepers can all have a key. The unique way the whole top come off the lock means that the close coupled hasp is ideal.

It also has a unique feature that it has a guard across the key hole to stop the ingress of water or insects.

On the whole a well made lock with great features.
