Good price for a 3* lock and worth it all day long.

I live on a ‘good’ estate next to a ‘bad’ one. On my estate, there’s a lot of crime targeting mid-high-end vehicles. Houses are broken into by snapping the cylinder locks (many neighbours have shared their experiences) and then car keys are taken to steal Audis, Mercs, BMWs etc.

Even though many houses have security cameras and there’s an active Neighbourhood Watch scheme, it doesn’t stop criminals from covering up and just robbing whoever they fancy. The best security is prevention and protection. Changing the locks to 3* locks is a great way to protect as many criminals know what they look like (horizontal keys, hallmarks on the front etc) and don’t even bother trying.

These are a doddle to fit when you know how. I’d recommend doing it yourself as there’s no technical knowledge required. Just watch a YouTube video. It’s a simple screw and replacement of the barrel: job done.

The only downside is horizontal keys are harder to insert than vertical keys; daft but true! But I’d accept that any day over knowing the lock is easy to break.

Good product but even after several weeks of use the key remains very fiddly to insert.

A sturdy, well-built lock that I fitted more easily than I expected.key inserts easily ,however the orientation.No need to line up the key shape to key hole "the right way up" and the key turns smoothly and easily when locking or unlocking. I chose this particular lock because of its 'anti-snap' construction, a protection I understand against gaining entry by snapping the lock from outside. Apparently, seasoned burglars can recognise when this type of lock is fitted and are deterred from even trying to break in by forcing the lock. I now have these quality Yale locks fitted to both front and rear doors and feel much safer.

Good quality lock. Couldn’t put it in from inside which is how I took the old one out due to 2 lugs and key is difficult to line up unlike a conventional lock. However I will put up with these issues due to the 3 star raiting.

Was after some anti-snap 3 star locks and these seemed popular so went ahead. Very pleased, relatively easy to fit and give more peace of mind. They feel much more robust than the previous locks we had, turning the key has a better reassuring feel too. Overall very pleased, well worth it.
