The product was perfect for our needs, it fits well into the space we wanted it to fit in. It is very heavy, so will not be moved in a hurry and has a good strong lock fitted. It was very easy to fit and secure to the wall, it has a good space inside with adjustable shelves so you can fit most items you would need to by adjusting the shelf. I have recommended this safe to my family and friends as its a great peace of mind having important documents, passports - birth certificates - house deeds all in a safe place. We also have our family photo album locked away, after experiancing a house fire previously,we know how important it is to have a safe secure place in the home. its peace of mind for all the family.

The Chubbsafes Executive 40K Fire Safe is tested and certified to provide 60 minutes fire protection for documents in accordance with NT Fire 017-60 Paper and UL 72 Class 350 - 1 Hour Fire & Impact. The fire safe is ideal for storing all kinds of personal belongings, such as insurance documents, passports, bank-books, income-tax reports, contracts and receipts. The Chubbsafes Executive 40K is secured by a key lock supplied with two keys and is suitable for floor fixing, including a DIY installation kit. This safe is also available in 3 other sizes.

Just bought to put documents in and they all fit in ok even put 10 pounds in the tray at top of safe and its still there the key is next to the safe. I only got it for the fire aspect so without the house burning down i dont know if it works ok. just hope i dont have a fire. I am sure it is a perfectly good safe and i am glad i bought it and i would recomend it looks good under the stairs dont think it will ever move as i have built things all round it.

Great safe and great service. Van driver was a star helped to get the safe in.

I took the shelf out so that I can keep our laptops in the safe. It would be nice if the safe was lined with a soft material so as not to scratch the lap tops.

The laptop safes on the market are never large enough, and of course you can only get a laptop in it.

We lost our home because of a house fire back in 2011 and I can tell you that a fire proof safe is very important. If I had not had one at the time, sorting my life out would have been a nightmare. It was bad enough as it was.

Standard Safe >25kg Installation

An installation service is available on a wide range of safes over 25kg. If offered, this option will be listed within the Delivery & Returns section on the product page.

On arrival an experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your safe.

Your Intallation will include bolting the safe to the floor using anchor bolts included with your safe. Anchor bolts are deisgned for use with a solid surface such as stone or concrete. We cannot install your safe to floorboards.

If a wall installation is required, please speak to one of our safe experts and they will guide you through this specialised service.

The position of your safe will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes/cables or under floor heating.

The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the safe is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your safe and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

Additional Information

Non-standard Installation

In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

If additional costs are likely these will be discussed with you prior to installation. Reasons for extra costs might include:

  • Specialised access equipment and permits such as hoists, lifts and cranes.
  • Outside of normal hours working (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm).
  • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
  • Road closure including necessary permits.
  • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

  • PH 1 - 26 (No coverage in other PH postcodes)
  • PA 1 - 19 (No coverage in other PA postcodes)

These additional elements are deemed to fall outside the definition of a 'Standard Installation'. If you feel your installation might be non-standard please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

If applicable, additional costs are to be paid before installation begins.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.

Assessment calls raised for reasons outside our sphere of influence or responsibility and not covered by the standard installation will incur a call out charge for labour and additional materials.

The following are examples of when a call out charge would be incurred:

  • Accidental Damage
  • Malicious Damage
  • Materials or Manufacturer Failure
  • System Modification
  • Incorrect User Diagnosis
