Yale Extra Large Fireproof Safe

I was initially prompted with the thought that I really need to store important documents safely in the event of the unthinkable, a house fire. The utter inconvenience of losing very important documents, policies and certificates would be a real pain.

I considered my needs then spent a good length of time searching the brand leaders, what was on offer and the reviews posted.

Fire safety, size, weight and keyless became my prime factors.

The Yale extra large safe isn't overly large, but plenty large enough to store documents, Notebook/tablet, HDD's and photographic equipment with room to spare. It's heavy but manageable to self install and bolting to the floor is straight forward.

The illuminated key pad is faultless, just rest your fingers on it and it quickly springs into life. The combination options are varied and flexible giving one choices, which is a bonus.

We are extremely pleased and satisfied with this purchase, for us it ticks all the boxes and we now have 'peace of mind'

The digital keypad system can be programmed with multiple passwords and also single use passwords making it much more versatile than a key operated lock.

The build quality is excellent, it is very easy to use and comes with everything you need to fix it in place.

The large size is very heavy. I know it's supposed to be heavy, but just make sure you have a friend on standby to help install it.

Slightly cheap feeling internal shelves.

Too heavy for one/two robbers to carry.

After the first one was delivered damaged, you ability to sort quickly & without question was excellent

The touch screen application to bring up the keypad is very tempremental and can take a while before keypad appears.

A good solid product, reassuringly heavy! looks handsome and modern, blends in with the decor easily being grey, keypad is a very stylish illuminated touchpad. Internal drawer is useful and discreet.

It is very difficult to manoeuvre, which I guess is a pro in many ways, would be useful if it came with a transportation handle/ system? or a body builder to move it into position!! Fits 2 15" laptops nicely- upright/ at an angle though shelf becomes useless.

Impressed with the safe all round except the touch screen! Took me half hour the other day to get it open, I thought it could be the batteries but wasn’t. Unfortunately let’s it down and wouldn’t recommend

Our safe arrived dented unfortunately so I rang up customer services who were amazing and sent out a new safe immediately, very pleased.

Build seems good quality Nice and heavy as wanted.
