Really does everything that you said it would, in size, easy to conceal and set the code we wished to use.

An excellent safe, with very good security features. It would be very difficult to break into it, either by physical force or breaking the code. I particularly liked the fact that after a small number of failed attempts to enter the code, no more attempts are possible (help from manufacturers must be obtained).

Given the external dimensions of the safe, the internal storage capacity is a little disappointing, but of course this is due to the thickness of the walls to make the safe fire resistant.

My only real criticism is minor one, relating to the bolts for securing to a wall. With the ones I received it was not possible to push the bolts with sleeves already attached through from inside the safe into the wall, with the safe in position (holes in safe too small). In the end I had to bolt through the safe into the sleeves with the safe away from the wall and then guide the sleeves into the holes in the wall as I pushed the safe back into place. Possible but awkward, given the confined space I had to work in.

Bought for our home to house pieces of jewellery and passports, which it does superbly and there is still some space inside. We also purchased the professional installation as we wanted to make sure it was fitted securely onto a shelf and in the most secure and discrete location, which installer did for us and quicker than I expected. The inside light comes separately, which gives you the option of choosing where to position it before attaching to the safe, which I liked. It lights when you open the safe and is on a timer. If you haven’t closed the safe before the light goes out then put your hand inside reactivates it. The fire resistance was important to us and its resistance is a sufficient level. We chose the keypad lock based on other reviewers feedback about the key. It works well, easy to use and if we should ever forget the code we set (and the length is variable) then there is a back up, so you wouldn’t be completely locked out. No key to hide or lose. The only thing we would change is to put a lining on the bottom of the safe, which is metal like the walls and ceiling. Overall we are very pleased with the safe: its not too big, or too small for our use, its secure, solid and inside is lit well so you can see what you’re doing without having to have additional light.

Easy to use. Too small internally. This would be the only reason I would not recommend this particular safe.

This is a £40k/£4k rated fire proof safe. Its easy to use and was quite straightforward to install, although you will need a helper to hold it while you drill, if you wall mount it. Its appears to be well made and very substantial. The electronic lock is easy to set up and simple to use. The instructions were easy to follow and we soon had it installed. Although its no TARDIS there is sufficient space for a few watches, passports and jewellery. I would recommend this safe to anyone who needs this level of protection, however i would add check the dimensions and don't forget to allow for the door opening.

Does this have a master override physical key or a digital code?
Sujit, Cardiff
This unit is provided with a mastercode in case of lockout rather than a physical key.

I'm thinking of a wall fixing only, as I have a new wooden floor. But, my wall has a skirting board which means the back of the safe would not be snug to wall - there would be a 1.8cm-1.9cm gap. Is that a concern?
Edward Laxton, London
I would recommend removing part of the skirting board and having the safe bolted flush to the wall, as any gaps could compromise security.

The battery operated key pads - what happens when the battery expires and you cannot open the safe?
Hamish, Durham
The batteries on this unit are stored in the keypad on the front of the safe and are changed from the outside. Should the batteries expire you can simply replace them and continue with the code you have already set as this is stored by the keypad memory. On safes where the batteries are not changed on the outside a master override key is provided to allow access to the unit.

If you enter the wrong code will it reset so if you remember the code you can open it?
David Stokes, Chinnir
If the wrong code is entered 5 times the keypad will go into lock-down. The safe can be opened by entering the correct code twice.

Standard Safe <25kg Installation

We offer professional installation on our complete range of lightweight safes under 25kgs.

Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your safe.

Your installation will include bolting the safe to the floor or wall using the anchor bolts included with your safe. Anchor bolts are designed for use with a solid surface such as brick or concrete. We cannot install your safe to floorboards or a stud plasterboard wall.

If you are choosing a wall installation you must ensure the skirting board has been removed prior to installation.

The position of your safe will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes/cables or under floor heating.

The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the safe is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your safe and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

Non-standard Installation

In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

If additional costs are likely these will be discussed with you prior to installation. Reasons for extra costs might include:

  • Specialised access equipment and permits such as hoists, lifts and cranes.
  • Outside of normal hours working (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm).
  • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
  • Road closure including necessary permits.
  • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

£55.00 Surcharge Areas

  • PH 1 - 26 (No coverage in other PH postcodes)

  • AB
  • DD
  • TD
  • DG

These additional elements are deemed to fall outside the definition of a 'Standard Installation'. If you feel your installation might be non-standard please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

If applicable, additional costs are to be paid before installation begins.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.

Assessment calls raised for reasons outside our sphere of influence or responsibility and not covered by the standard installation will incur a call out charge for labour and additional materials.

The following are examples of when a call out charge would be incurred:

  • Accidental Damage
