We needed a safe capable of holding 5 complete till draws.
More expensive safes tended to have thicker walls, meaning the till draws would not fit inside unless you upgrade to a larger, and even more expensive, version.
As we are holding under £1000 in total in the safe, which is the insurance limit on this particular model, it appeared a good option.
The safe itself is quite light and easily carried by one person, so it has to be bolted to the floor to be secure. The bolts provided with the safe are far to short for our purpose's so we fitted longer ones.
It is made from a single thickness of steal, rather than being double walled
The lock is fitted on the back of the door with only the one bolt point.
the door fits snugly into place with minimal gape around the outside but is still the weakest point of this safe. I expect you could get through it with an angle grinder relatively quickly.
In conjunction with a more secure safe for the main takings and fully linked alarm system, it is more than adequate for the specific needs we had, as well as being very good value.
I wouldn't keep the Crown Jewels in it though.
