It is dead simple to use, all you have to do is put your finger on the sensor and the door opens. If you wear all your finger prints away, there is always the number pad, even a key as a last resort. My wife and I have only ever used our fingerprints. For added security, we keep the key offsite. It won’t be needed because even if the batteries wear out suddenly, it has a backup plan where you can plug in a 9v battery on the outside of the safe, so you can open it and replace the batteries inside. Ingenious!

There are other sizes available but I chose this size because it is perfect for documents, jewellery, watches, iPad, the odd wad of cash (I should be so lucky). It has a removable shelf if you want to store any larger items.

Very good small safe but the fingerprint facility is a waste of money so with hindsight I would have purchased the standard model (without finger print). The safe itself is very good, strong constuction and easy to use. The internal light is very useful. Reasonable internal capacity, and when bolted to a wall or the ground with the supplied fittings it will certainly deter any thief. Setting up the entry code is a bit fiddly but once done works well. The fingerprint set up is very difficult and even when done often won't open the safe, so this feature is a waste of money. The supplied key is also a good feature in the event of battery failure.

The Yale Maximum Security Fingerprint Home Safe is designed to protect cash and valuables such as jewellery from theft and has a recommended insurance rating of £2,000 cash or £20,000 valuables with a Silver award in the Sold Secure Accreditation scheme. This home safe is secured by an electronic combination lock including a blue LCD which is powered by 4 x AA batteries (included). The safe also includes a biometric fingerprint reader which can store up to 100 different finger scans. For additional peace of mind it is possible to override the electronic lock by a 6 lever high security double bitted key lock (supplied with one key).

When the safe door is opened extra bright internal LED lighting reveals a felt lined interior and one removable shelf. This safe is also ready prepared for floor or wall fixing via pre-drilled holes in both the back and base of the safe. Fixing bolts are included.

Great little safe, with plenty of storage space for a good amount of small belongings.

Fits nicely into the corner of a room, meaning that it can be out of the way. Perfect, both for security and not intruding into your décor.

Highly recommend if you're after a decent, little safe, for a smattering of items. Only thing is that the instructions can be a bit strange in places, but nothing insurmountable.

Good product from a trusted company fits my needs very well.

Just a bit awkward to set up but after watching a video this was ok.

The internal light is great and an override key as backup is a good idea.

The keypad and fingerprint scanner works and the carpeted shelf and floor is a nice touch.

Very impressed with this product, Good design and great build quality. very easy to set up multiple finger prints and came with all fixings for installation. Perfect for my requirements, I am able to store my electrical items as well as other personal bits and bobs, the light inside is a nice touch, also comes with a key and you can set a code. I would definitely recommend.

    Standard Safe <25kg Installation

    We offer professional installation on our complete range of lightweight safes under 25kgs.

    Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your safe.

    Your installation will include bolting the safe to the floor or wall using the anchor bolts included with your safe. Anchor bolts are designed for use with a solid surface such as brick or concrete. We cannot install your safe to floorboards or a stud plasterboard wall.

    If you are choosing a wall installation you must ensure the skirting board has been removed prior to installation.

    The position of your safe will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes/cables or under floor heating.

    The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the safe is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your safe and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

    Additional Information

    Non-standard Installation

    In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

    If additional costs are likely these will be discussed with you prior to installation. Reasons for extra costs might include:

    • Specialised access equipment and permits such as hoists, lifts and cranes.
    • Outside of normal hours working (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm).
    • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
    • Road closure including necessary permits.
    • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

    We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

    The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

    Warranty Terms & Conditions

    Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

    Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

    We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

    In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.

    Assessment calls raised for reasons outside our sphere of influence or responsibility and not covered by the standard installation will incur a call out charge for labour and additional materials.
