The product arrived in good time as described by the supplier. Easy to order online. The product was physically much lighter than expected. It was easy to install, I used the supplied bolts fix to the wall with extra bolts through the floor. The quality of the finished product is very good. Setting up was easy and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Resetting back to manufacturer's setting is easy too which I had to do after entering the initial codes incorrectly. The option of having a key access as well as the keypad is useful in case the batteries fail while on during a holiday. The internal LED light is very useful. Like any security device they only keep the honest man out! Someone would have to do a lot of damage to this safe to open it physically - I feel this product gives me peace of mind and I would recommend it.

A nice low end safe ideal for putting stuff in you don't want someone to be able to pick up and wander off with. Won't stop a determined person but will slow them down. Easy to change the pin and get it up and running. Buttons appear to be well built so they should last. Haven't had it long enough to see what the low battery warning is like. Enough room in there for most people, I've got space to spare - maybe I need more valuables? Screws to fit to wall/floor are long enough to ensure it won't be picked up easily!

The Phoenix Vela SS0801e is a compact home security safe that is ideal for securing cash and valuables from theft. The safe comes with a recommended insurance rating of £1,000 cash or £10,000 valuables and is secured by a user friendly electronic combination lock. The back and base of the safe are ready prepared for floor or wall installation and a DIY fixing kit is included to secure the safe. There are also more sizes available in the Phoenix Vela SS0800 series.

Found it pretty easy to screw and bolt to floor and wall.

Small so you can easily hide it away in small areas of the house.

This safe is very easy to use arrive on time and is a good size inside .I like the interior light which makes it easy to put items in we bought it as we had a break in when we were away and all my jewellery was taken I realise it's a bit late now but feel happy about having this safe installed At least it will be a little harder to get items out without making any noise would definitely have another one if we ever moved

I am very pleased with this product. It was very easy for my husband to install too. The feature of the light in the safe is very good . Overall it is very easy to use and has sufficient space in it for what we need. Definitely a good buy.

Yes, the keypad will beep when the numbers are entered. There is no way to disable the alarm, it just needs to be left to time out.

Standard Safe <25kg Installation

We offer professional installation on our complete range of lightweight safes under 25kgs.

Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your safe.

Your installation will include bolting the safe to the floor or wall using the anchor bolts included with your safe. Anchor bolts are designed for use with a solid surface such as brick or concrete. We cannot install your safe to floorboards or a stud plasterboard wall.

If you are choosing a wall installation you must ensure the skirting board has been removed prior to installation.

The position of your safe will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes/cables or under floor heating.

The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the safe is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your safe and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

Additional Information

Non-standard Installation

In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

If additional costs are likely these will be discussed with you prior to installation. Reasons for extra costs might include:

  • Specialised access equipment and permits such as hoists, lifts and cranes.
  • Outside of normal hours working (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm).
  • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
  • Road closure including necessary permits.
  • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

These additional elements are deemed to fall outside the definition of a 'Standard Installation'. If you feel your installation might be non-standard please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

If applicable, additional costs are to be paid before installation begins.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.

Assessment calls raised for reasons outside our sphere of influence or responsibility and not covered by the standard installation will incur a call out charge for labour and additional materials.

The following are examples of when a call out charge would be incurred:

  • Materials or Manufacturer Failure
  • System Modification
  • Incorrect User Diagnosis
