The ERA Protect Smart Alarms are wireless, app controlled, security systems that allows you to protect and monitor your home via your smartphone.

The ERA Protect Pet PIR Motion Sensor (3 pack) activates when larger movement is detected. The detector should be placed in the corner of rooms that are vulnerable to intruders at a minimum height of 2 metres. This makes a detection area of 90 degrees with a 12 metre radius, making it ideal for homes with one small pet (less than 25kg). When the alarm is armed an infrared sensor will detect any larger movement and activate the loud alarm siren.

Units arrived quickly and were easy to install in the walls and connect into the existing ERA Protect system. Locations named and all great. So far no false alarms.

As described in the advertisement of the sensors I purchased, They were worth the money I paid. They do a good job in protecting the home overall, I would recommend this product to anybody willing or able to install it themselves as what I did.

If you are wanting to purchase an alarm system without having to pay a monthly subscription, This could be the alarm for you.

I think ALL PIRs are expensive considering the technology is about 25+ years old now. However, these are simple to install and seem to work well as a motion detector. Certainly sensitive and trigger the alarm However, whilst the PIRs are fine the jury is out on the ERA Protect Alarm as a whole package. The app is like something from the dark ages as it can take minutes to send a notification that the alarm is set or unset. It also seems to really struggle to update the alarm status quickly. e.g. when you open the front door without un-setting the alarm (by mistake) and want to turn of the alarm quickly on the app....it seems to lock for about 20 seconds after opening before you can set the alarm to 'off'. A bit crap really. I also think the sounder box simply isn't loud enough. Previously, I had an ancient wired YALE alarm and quite honestly I reckon it was an altogether better alarm package even though it had no smart capability. Mind, I wouldn't say the ERA protect is very smart, and it's certainly rather slow. Quite honestly it was a lot of money to replace a working but totally dumb-alarm with an expensive and not-so-smart alarm.
