I purchased this padlock for my store it out box as it needs a long shank to be able to go through and lock. Although this padlock has a long shank it wasn’t quite wide enough for my purpose. Although I could get it through the hole it was really fiddly and too tight get on and off the box. Although the padlock wasn’t suitable for my purpose it would be ideal for other use, ie hasp and staple on a hut or a smaller storage box. The padlock itself is well made as most Yale products are. The fact that you can buy more than one padlock and have them on the same key is good, especially if you lose misplace one set.
