ABUS Extreme 83WP/53 High Security Marine Grade Padlock

I needed 3 large and highly secure padlocks to secure the storage on a building site located in a high pilferage and burglary area. After studying and purchasing several highly reviewed products from well known names, I found these either too small for the size of the door latches or completely ineffective once deployed on site.

I eventually summoned up the courage to try the more expensive ABUS Extreme 83WP/63 Padlock. I could only afford one padlock to start with. My product choice was vindicated within 3 weeks of purchase when the usual burglars came to the site and carted away valuable electrical cables and other essentials from the other store rooms but could not get into the only store with the ABUS Extreme 83WP/63. The product took several hits and battering and sustained several chips and kinks to its casing but stood its own.

I soon returned and purchased the same product for the other remaining stores and haven't regretted the decision.

A very sturdy and highly secure product, though should have come with three keys rather than two, for that price.

Will definitely repurchase this product should the need arise again.

Exactly what was needed, extracting the key only when locked is a plus also weatherproof was a benefit. Not tried a bolt cutter or angle grinder.
