Boston Security 5 Gun Safe

Cabinet came well protected on it’s own pallet and was delivered on time, very good service we are very happy with cabinet. Cabinet was very easy to secure to wall with supplied bolts and plugs, doubt it will be pulled off very easily so security of cabinet is very good as police licensing inspector mentioned

Service was great and delivery was smooth.

The safe will fit up to 5 shotguns, as stated. It won’t fit rifles with scopes on them unless these are put in at an angle or sideways so make sure you measure appropriately for the guns you intend to store and accessories. I got 2 scoped rifles in and would be struggling to store a third without scraping them against each other so have elected to remove the scopes to give plenty space.

Build quality; the ‘Boston Security’ logo wasn’t stuck on very well and needed a bit superglue which isn’t an issue for security obviously but was a bit annoying to have to do that. The door does make contact with the very bottom of the frame when opening and I don’t think the hinges can be adjusted so my door scrapes with a bit of resistance there every time and that’s not great.

Having said that, it is a solid build and the four bolts are ample to secure it. I reallly like the lockable internal ammunition compartment just for that extra layer of security. All in all it is a good home safe and a big improvement on my previous one.

Great safe, past the inspection with flying colours…!!

Capacity is very restricted and I'm already wishing I'd purchased a larger gun safe. OK for shotguns but any rifles with scopes need to be put in on an angle so very much restricts the number of guns it will accommodate. I'll probably have to buy a second one and have seen what appears to be identical safe albeit a different brand for much cheaper price, with same standards rating.
