I bought this gun safe to store 2 guns which it does very effectively and securely. It passed the police inspection with flying colours and met all requirements. So my only small comment was the top key lock is temperamental, it still locks but you have to fiddle with the key a little before it fits into place to open the safe, similar occurs when trying to remove the key. If it wasn’t for this it would have had 5 stars for quality. Now here is why the storage only gets 4 out of 5. I had to store a friends gun temporarily and whilst it did fit with some jiggery pokery (you have to put this 3rd gun in first as the door prevent you accessing it or putting it in with the other 2 guns in the cabinet. A minor point but hence not 5 stars. Overall a very good cabinet and very much worth the money would definitely recommend.

This is a very solid cabinet, well finished and excellent value for money.

I was able to install it myself using a power drill and driver without any issues at all and the instructions/guide was clear. It is absolutely exactly as described and I have no hesitation in recommending it and safe.co.uk who delivered the safe on time and discreetly packaged. It came with 2 x sets of keys, the locks are robust and have a very positive locking mechanism so you are certain that the cabinet is secure.

This cabinet was bought due to a house move and was approved without hesitation by the Police.

The Phoenix Lacerta GS8001K - 3 Gun Cabinet (with installation) is designed to store up to 3 shotguns and is manufactured to the highest standard to comply with British Standard BS7558/92 for gun security. This gun cabinet is secured by two high security 7 lever key locks and includes a high density foam divider and protective floor mat to keep your shotguns in top condition. The Phoenix GS8001k 3 Gun Cabinet comes with pre drilled holes in the back and the base making it suitable for floor or wall fixing and includes Professional Installation.

This is a good safe. As I have one I bought this one for my niece for Christmas. It is good value, well made and the locks are slick. We found if we fiddled around and dismantled shotguns it will actually take four. However it is ideal for one or two, plenty of room and good internal support. It was easy to fit, bolted securely and satisfied the FEO's inspection without a problem. It fitted behind a door comfortably and is very unobtrusive. It will take a scoped rifle, two at a push if stored sideways. However I think it is best used as a shotgun cabinet. Excellent product and would buy another.

Great little safe. I’d prob just put 2 guns inside to avoid damaging them as cosy. Plastic Rawl plugs come included.....I don’t like plastic plugs so bought steel anchors for a few quid, but that’s just me being very cautious. Top marks though for a great value safe. Great service too.

A very nice cabinet which has a good quality finish. It comes at a decent price and was delivered exceptionally quickly. The main aim was to keep the local Firearms Officer happy and he confirmed it met all of his expectations! The room inside would be OK for 3 guns, but if you have sights attached then I think you would struggle to get them all in there. Fitting the cabinet was easy - all of the necessary wall anchor bolts etc were provided. All in all a very quick and easy experience. I'd be happy to recommend this company.

Bought way before my FEO inspection rightly or wrongly but even paid for installation. Nice and heavy. Easy opening door and no sticking. I'd say I could have installed it easy enough but as I wanted to make sure it lived up to requirements by Firearms unit I thought best be safe than sorry. It passed and I now have my SG. I'd say adequate for 1 to 2 as quite small but ideal for the casual leisure shooter. Would definitely buy from Safe again!

Good product for the price, delivery was on time and it passed the police inspection with flying colours.

Only 1 of the 4 keys works smoothly in the top lock, which made it a bit of a faff until I marked the keys. Would recommend.

Cabinet states 3 gun but as the two locks on the inside of the door are so big when the door is closed I would say it's OK for one gun only maybe 3 if your very careful?

Sorry for the negative review but I never used it and sold it

(thought potential purchasers needed to know)

I bought another where the door can be lifted off like the one I had in the 80's

Product does what us expected, easy to use and fit to a solid wall with good coach bolt fixings. This clearly meets UK police requirements as they inspect it all. Safe and solid and good safe space saving product fir holding a few guns only. Only minor small issue is one key seems to operate both locks where as the other key doesn't. I just colour key to remind which one opens which lock, no real issue and locks work great.

The safe is great, albeit the fixings are not the greatest from a security standpoint. I ended up resin bolting it into the ground with much larger washers. There is little in the way of protection for the guns with just a bit of rubber/foam. Plan on adding some extra padding around or covering your guns. I don't have 3 guns to test with but I imagine it would be very tight.

    Standard Safe <25kg Installation

    We offer professional installation on our complete range of lightweight safes under 25kgs.

    Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your safe.

    Your installation will include bolting the safe to the floor or wall using the anchor bolts included with your safe. Anchor bolts are designed for use with a solid surface such as brick or concrete. We cannot install your safe to floorboards or a stud plasterboard wall.

    If you are choosing a wall installation you must ensure the skirting board has been removed prior to installation.

    The position of your safe will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes/cables or under floor heating.

    The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the safe is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your safe and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

    Additional Information

    Non-standard Installation

    In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

    If additional costs are likely these will be discussed with you prior to installation. Reasons for extra costs might include:

    • Specialised access equipment and permits such as hoists, lifts and cranes.
    • Outside of normal hours working (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm).
    • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
    • Road closure including necessary permits.
    • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

    We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

    The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

    Warranty Terms & Conditions

    Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

    Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

    We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

    In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.

    Assessment calls raised for reasons outside our sphere of influence or responsibility and not covered by the standard installation will incur a call out charge for labour and additional materials.

    The following are examples of when a call out charge would be incurred:
