It does what it is suppose to do. It handles very well especially in cold weather . The jacket around it makes it easy to handle. It is just the right size to give you ease of grip when opening and closing the lock. We use it on the seafront at Brighton , so it gets very salty. This makes no difference to this lock. I have not had to lubricate it as yet. We use 4 in total . Each lock we use performs well for what we need. We will defiantly use them again as & when we need them
